Nick was very professional and promptly came for a free visit to our home to work up a quote for a Trex deck project and custom-built pergola for a hot tub. "During the 7-year renovation project of my childhood home, I've worked with over 30 different contractors, tradesman, laborers, and specialists; and out of all of them, Amaral Services was truly by and far the best. I wish I could've found them when I first started this project; it would've saved me a lot of pain, struggle, time and money. One key thing that separates Nick Amaral, is that he puts a lot of effort and pride into his communication and responsiveness. This is an immediate and refreshing difference compared to many in this line of work, where I might be lucky to receive a return text/call/email within a few days or sometimes even a week. Nick would get back to me in MINUTES, rarely ever more than an hour. I never had to worry about a thing. The other key, is the quality of work & workers that he employs. Over the 9-month project to finish the majority of my renovation, I met and got to know many of his team; and they all take immense pride in their work, and heavily emphasize the details & quality. Nick demonstrates great leadership here in setting a high standard. The pictures in my review speak for themselves. The difference in the before & after is truly astounding. But what those pictures don't show, is also how many complications Nick had to address & navigate to get to the finish line. As walls came down we discovered mold, rot, termite damage, fire damage, structural damage and decay, a number of issues with the architectural plans, and more. And all that in addition to the supply shortages & price fluctuations that were rampant in early 2022. Nick navigated all of this flawlessly; he persistently moved the project forward, found ways to keep costs down, kept me updated on everything, and ultimately solved every problem to make the house safer, more structurally sound & better than it ever could be. I can't say enough about how positive and great of an experience this all was, and it's truly incredible to look back on the 9-month project and see all that was overcome to produce such a beautiful end result. My friends & family have all been astonished, and can't believe how flawless it all came out. My mom - who owned the home before me - was in tears over how the dream of everything we hoped but could never afford to do, came to life in a way better than we could've ever imagined. "Nick and team did an amazing job. The entire project was complete in less than 2 months, with 1700 sq ft of completely unfinished space done completely over.
