Reviews
"You can't always believe reviews when they are 1 stars.. I had a great experience while visiting from out of town. Good prices and a very nice owner. She knew what she was doing and was up front about still learning (as all of us in the hobby are). I had a fantastic time digging through boxes in the "vault" and looking and buying some of the counter items. She was also great with all the new hobbiests "kids" that came in. Will definitely be back when we are in the area."
"I am in agreement with the latest reviews. Went there to look and discuss some collector cards. A woman, who identified herself as the owner (sorry, I forgot her name) was so arrogant and condescending I was immediately turned off. She was nice then the arrogance and her condescending attitude would come back, go away, then come back again. It was truly like she could not help it. The Cape is such a small place and word travels fast, that the new owner will certainly run this business into the ground in a short amount of time, which is a shame because Josh, the previous owner spent a lot of time building such a good business. The good news is that I heard Josh may have something coming up. Will be glad to see hin back."
"This card shop has gone drastically downhill since the previous owner has left! I have 0 reason to visit anymore as the new owners are absolutely useless and can hardly talk about the items for sale! Not only that but they’ve raised prices sky high so it makes it almost unenjoyable to visit and I’ve had someone buy a card for me and when I got it in hand it turned out to be a horrible fake! I tried to call and no one ever answered … bring Josh back before it’s too late ."
"Now I know it’s not me. After reading some recent reviews I know my intuition was right. There is something wrong about the new owners. I’m not in the know about who owns what and who works for who, but I do know I went once a few months ago and met Josh. He was friendly, personable, knowledgeable, helpful and patient. I enjoyed my experience so much I came back with my grandson and we both had a great time. I gave him a 5 star review at the time. I returned again a few weeks ago to find a woman behind the counter and no sign of Josh. She seemed to be all over the place and talked more about herself than her business. During our interaction I asked her if she would be interested in buying any memorabilia, especially books on baseball. She said absolutely. She said “ I buy everything. I’ll buy any books you have about baseball. I pay $2 for hardcovers.” I said great I have a bunch and I’ll call sometime in a few weeks to bring them over. She said don’t bother to call I will definitely buy them. If I’m here I will buy them. About 2 weeks later I brought the books over but left them in the car first. I went in and said hi remember me, we talked about buying some books a few weeks ago. She said yes i remember you i never forget a face then very sternly said: “ I’m not buying any books, in fact I’m not buying anything right now.” She continued to say business has been slow and she doesn’t need any more inventory. I politely said, I understand, it’s your business and if you don’t want to buy any books that’s your decision. But I said in the future I think it would be better if you don’t tell people you’ll buy something anytime and tell them “No” when they come in. I suggested that she just tell people to call and see if she’s buying before you come in. Something seems sketchy about this whole operation and I’d be surprised if it’s still in business by next summer."
"Sport and non-sport cards, comic books, and other sports-related items and collectibles, seemingly mostly 1980s to today for cards, some DC and Marvel comic books from 1970s and up, all found in a pleasant and inviting locale offering fun for collectors of all ages."
