"What a cool place! I’ve walked by the store located in the Cape Cod Mall, which displays all contents of what’s inside by just walking by, therefore, when I visited Yebo, all right, this location, I was pleasantly surprised to how much more variety of toys and games they had to offer, we went in to purchase a Nintendo switch for my five year old son, and was pleasantly greeted by a young man who had a plethora of knowledge on the gaming device, and introduced and got us all set up for his first experience with the gaming system, of course we walked out with a few extra items due to just how cool the toys were"
"We understand that there are sometimes scheduling issues however there is absolutely no excuse for not even posting a sign a note or something on the door to let customers know. We never know when it's open we can't listen to the hours of operation that is online. It is very frustrating. We understand that it could be difficult sometimes but at least letting the customers know with a note could help. Today we went back and did not receive the best customer service. Evelyn was the young woman who helped us but unfortunately she was not helpful at all. She gave us wrong information. We actually spoke to other Gamestop stores and verified that she gave us wrong information about turning in the game for store credit. She was not friendly at all and quite frankly seemed annoyed to even be there. She definitely made some rude comments to us but a Google review isn't really the place to air it out all I will say is that she was hostile. Remember this is a store filled with games And fun. It would have been nice to be helped by someone that at least had an attitude that didn't make the customer's feel like we are the worst part of their day."
"Do NOT go here if a young guy in his early 20s named Devin still works here. We were in yesterday to just look and buy a PS5 game. We saw a sign that stated one of the games was on sale. I work retail so I read signs thoroughly cause I never want to be that person. Devin rings up my partner and the game rings up full price. We mentioned the sign but he just goes “oh that’s only for pro members” and calls it a day. I hate confrontation, I have anxiety, but I decided to point out and say “Hey, I work retail and don’t want to be that person, but the sign doesn’t state that you have to be a pro member so it really should be honored.” His manager overhears and steps in and acknowledges I’m right and does the price match no issues. No big deal, systems and signage mismatch sometimes. Devin decided it was personal. Got mad at his manager that it didn’t ring up that way. Then took his anger onto me. I had another thing to buy and she was assisting someone else and asked if it’s okay to ring me up. He says “whatever.” I’m now so nervous when I ring up I pull my card out too early. This just set him off even though I apologized. He crumpled the receipt from the void transaction and threw it across the counter in front of me. I had enough. I work retail and deal with genuine awful people, I was not being awful but I wasn’t going to be treated that way so I told him he needed to adjust his attitude. He started yelling at me to “JUST PUT YOUR CARD IN JUST PUT YOUR CARD IN” flailing his arms. We were all dumbfounded. Oh but it doesn’t stop. While I’m still there just trying to handle this mess trying to buy my one item with my partner. He throws a tantrum stating how he just wants to go home. In front of me and other customers. Mind you there were children around. He made a big scene about it. I told him to just go home if he’s gonna treat people like this. I decided to leave the item because at that point I just wanted to leave. I apologized profusely for the unwarranted scene. I never leave Google reviews like this but I was pretty traumatized. Will never go back and also seriously concerned for Devin’s mental well being."
"I bought a used PS5 controller from them on 11/17 and I got the extended warranty. I asked the associate directly if I would need the receipt to use the warranty and I was told no. The associate lied to my face as when I went to take advantage of the warranty the 5 days later (because the controller is having issues) and I didn't have the receipt with me, I was denied service. It was explained that there was no record of the purchase in the system so they couldn't help me without the receipt. So I'll be going to Best Buy to get a new one as I can't trust GameStop anymore"
"I visited the store on Sunday, July 24th and I could not believe the level of disrespect from the individual that was put in charge. He was rude a hostile. The store associate with was externally kind to me but told me that I ultimately had to deal with his rude manager. I cannot believe that the individual I spoke with today was placed into a leadership position. Although it is a wonderful location and the store looks nice, multiple customers were walking out, due to the poor service. I will not be visiting the game stop again under any circumstance. I suggest that you avoid this location at all cost."
