"I would never use them again. People told me to beware there extra costs when you pick up vehicle. My truck was new. Cut and dry add 2 springs for each side of new f550. Quoted $1200. Bill was $1900 when I picked it up. They said it took the guy longer to do than expected. If I did that in my business I would be thrown in jail."
"These guys took advantage of my girlfriend being stranded in the city by herself. Her starter went, it took them “3 hours” to replace it at $125 an hour and $300 for the starter it’s self. On her Subaru the starter is pretty easy to get too.I went out and got to her starter in the driveway myself (just to see) in 18 minutes and all I did was watch a YouTube video. She paid almost $700 for a starter replacement. Should be illegal. Absolute crooks"
"They did work on my Tri axle to get it ready for a state inspection and failed to fix multiple lights and I got the truck back with no air horn or regular horn working. Quoted the job at a certain price and it was doubled when they got done with no phone call. Will not do business again and you shouldn’t either"
"I went to Palmer Springs because I had issues with my brakes. They told me that it needed bearings. They did a bunch of work which ended up costing me 1200. The car drove even worse after they worked on it. I called them and they told me to bring it back in but I was hesitant. I went to another mechanic and they told me the part they had installed was broken! I called Palmer Spring and asked for at least the money back for the broken part that was installed as a new part. They flatly refused saying I should have come back to them to get it repaired. I knew if I went back to them I may not have much of a car left to drive. I said no I wanted someone else to fix it and It was only fair that they gave me the money for the part( I was told that the parts they installed weren't even part of the problem). The man became irritated with me , raised his voice and basically hung up on me. Out 1200 and my car was in worse shape!"
"My trailer hitch tail lights stopped working and it seemed to be the car. They assured me they would be able to fix it. They ended up holding onto my trailer and car for 3 days with very little communication. I told them I would need my car back for the weekend and would bring it elsewhere if that didn’t work, they said it was fine. I called them back after day 1 on friday to find they were closed and had my car and trailer locked in the garage and had forgotten to call me, which happens. I was able to contact them over the weekend but they said I would have to wait til Monday to get my trailer. 3 days later I got it back and they did not fix the electrical. I paid over 500, they ended up redoing the entire trailer wiring and handing it back saying they are unfamiliar with my car model and have no clue why the electrical of the trailer won’t work, they new my car model going in, so that was confusing. I ended up taking it elsewhere and found out after 5 minutes it was just a broken fuse and needed a replacement fuse for the car, instead of $500 in rewiring which was never the problem. It was a bummer and a waste of both my and their time and my money. I also had a really nice time being chewed out for 20-30 mins by the manager who accused me of trying to scam them when I attempted to pay what I owe and get my car back Friday so I could work that weekend. I will never go back to Palmer springs, they were so non communicative and do not check in or ask before doing hundreds of dollars in work/labor. BIG thank you to the mechanic who helped me out after and explained to me what happened so I could do it myself next time, that was awesome, I think I paid 10 bucks for the fuse, some duct tape, and the explanation."
