"Our first time here with a Christmas vibe on our minds for the 6 of us. Being from the Seacoast our expectations were what a local would expect them to be. Food is a 3 based on half of the steamed clams were not opened and those that were we tried and they were gritty with sand. Bummer I love steamers. The fried food was okay, just didn't taste quite right. Steamed muscles were very good, kudos for those! Service was very slow. We were there from 4 until 7 pm for the atmosphere and non full restaurant one would have thought we would have been asked how our meal was. The atmosphere was fine, open, a little dark, but as someone said not too loud where you couldn't hear each other. Undetermined if we'll be back."
"This place is a total catch! For starters, the place is huge! There is plenty of seating around, but the tables are spread out in such a way that you can have a perfectly normal conversation while the place is packed, and be able to hear every word. The staff are friendly and attentive, but not annoying and over attentive. The prices are a little on the higher side, but when you taste your food you understand right away! I went with a party of 8 so I got to try most of the menu in one go. I'm typically not interested in seafood, and I can say everything I had, be it appetizers, meals, drinks or dessert, it was fantastic! It's definitely the best Seafood I've had in the Rochester area and being at the ridge, you can go do some shopping before or after your meal. So if you're still on the fence, take a dive in the deep end and go enjoy Pepper's Landing!"
"Went here for an early fall lunch, and was delighted to see that we could still eat outside! What a lovely gem this restaurant is ! Our fantastic server. Shayleigh, was so accommodating with not only my food allergies, of which I have many, but accommodated my spouse’s wishes for substituting a fresh vegetable instead of french fries. The crab roll I had on a delicious gluten-free roll, accompanied by fresh asparagus and coleslaw was divine. My spouse had the fried haddock with huge sea scallops, which was also excellent! We had such a great time I purchased a T-shirt for my spouse. We both found this restaurant very clean, and inviting, and would happily come back again!"
"I have eaten many times at Pepper's Landing in Old Town, ME. This was the first time dining at their Rochester, NH location. I found the food and service to be consistently excellent. If I could make a simple suggestion, I would recommend grilling the chicken when putting it in a salad. It adds more flavor. The chicken my wife had didn't have any grill marks. Lexy was our server Friday night in Rochester. She was simply outstanding!!! It seemed to me that she was born to be in the service industry. Communicating came so naturally for her. She actually made you feel like you were her only customer. They are fortunate to have her on their team."
"My husband and I stopped by for lunch at the end of July and it was really good. We sat at an outside table, wasn't busy at all. Our waitress was great, came by and checked on us enough times, got our drinks pretty quick, food didn't take too long, and it was all delicious. My husband has raved about how good the fried clams were (pictured) - perfectly cooked in clean oil, and a really wonderful light batter. They were so good, those alone are worth the drive. Really big portion also! We also got the Cajun Shrimp Pimento Dip (pictured) that was amazing, and I had a cup of clam chowder (pictured) that was really really good. We will definitely be back as often as we can and can highly recommend it."
