"Rented a kids bike for a quick trip to woods hole and back. They had me pay as soon as I told him we needed a kids bike for about 1-1.5 hours. If you rent more than 1 hr then it’s the full all-day rate. I was confused and thought they charged me for 1 hr and would just charge me the additional difference if I used it longer. They pulled down a bike and set it outside (never asked her height or sized her). I spent a little time fitting her for a helmet, then we went outside for the bike. She tried pedaling it around the parking lot a few times before we confirmed it was too large for her. As a side note, I noticed the drivetrain was pretty rusty. Brought it back inside and asked to swap for a smaller bike. This one fit her much better, but I did have to inflate the tires myself because they were only at ~22psi (great for mountain biking, but too low for paved bike path riding). Chain was rusty but not as bad as the other bike. Spent a half hour from the time I paid until she was fitted and bike was prepped to ride. We rode for 50 minutes and returned the bike so I asked what the rate was for renting less than 1 hr. The teenager working the rental shop just told me your rental time starts when you pay, even if the bike isn’t ready to ride yet, so it was going to be the all-day rate. I thought that was an unfair policy but wasn’t gonna argue about it. I wanted to review and put this out there in case anyone else in a similar situation, who is expecting to ride less than an hour, can save their time and money by paying AFTER you’re fitted and ready to ride. Also can’t hurt to take it upon yourself to check the tire pressure before you take off."

"Thought I left a review when they repaired and did a full service work up on my ride bike. Stopped by to return and get a different helmet mirror. Always easy and great service considering how busy they usually are. Also they are great at answering the basic questions. Got some great advice on getting my tire back on after fixing a flat. Very knowledgeable team and you can just ride up and get help."
