"Dined here for lunch during their sushi happy hour from 12-3. We sat at the bar. The ambience is really nice inside and the bar chairs were really comfy. Our bartender was really chill, accommodating and friendly. We ordered 4 rolls. The full price of the sushi is kind of pricey for what you get but totally worth it during the happy hour. We will be coming back."
"I really don’t know where to begin with this place. This has to be one of the most bizarre restaurants I’ve ever eaten in. For starters, we went for lunch midday on a wednesday, so the place was pretty quiet. The waiter there, who was lovely and attentive the whole time, greeted us when we walked in and told us to sit anywhere we like. The interior of this place is downright weird. There was a bizarre mix of table sizes, shapes, and furniture throughout the dining room. Each table had a random mix of regular dining chairs and couches, which meant if you were sitting in a chair you would be looking down at your table mates and which made an awkward position to eat from. Each table had a tacky gold painted base and a plastic-y faux marble tabletop. A faux-marble bar wrapped around the whole restaurant. It all felt very cheap and tacky. The service again was excellent, but we did come at a quiet time. Now the food. The first thing that struck me was that the sushi was expensive. $18 a roll is the cheapest you can find. Now it’s half off during lunch so it’s much more reasonable, but still if you come for dinner you are dropping $36 minimum on sushi. I ordered the Rainbow Roll and Crunchy Spicy Tuna Roll. Where I come from in New York, the word “crunchy” usually indicates the roll has masago arare (a small wheat cracker) or tobikos (mini fish eggs) on the outside. So imagine my surprise when i was served a DEEP FRIED ROLL of sushi. Maybe this is a New England thing, but i have quite literally never seen a whole roll of sushi deep fried before. Yes I’ve seen tempura, but never the rice itself dunked in the frier. The non-fried sushi roll wasn’t great. The rice was cold and underseasoned, as if it had been in the fridge for an hour, the nori wasn’t crispy, the fish was bland and also really cold for some reason. I would absolutely not pay $18 for 8 pieces. The fried sushi roll on the other hand was obviously bad. It was greasy, the fish was hot, the batter did not mix well with the tuna, the spicy mayo was overpowering. It really felt like I was eating fried spicy tuna, and it was an overall miserable experience. The soy sauce for my sushi was also served in a teacup, which was an interesting choice. My friends got the sliders, which were again not great. The bread was dry, the meat was underseasoned and overcooked, and it was really subpar for the price tag. The only decent thing I would say we had were the haddock sliders, which were solid. Im sorry to say this wasn’t very good, especially considering the waiter was so friendly and attentive. But the quality of food for the price you pay is frankly unjustifiable and so unfortunately I must advise you stay away. And if you do come here, for the love of god please don’t order deep fried sushi rolls. It’s a match that’s just not meant to be."
"We have been looking forward to our first visit to The Office Lounge in Dover. It is walking distance from our house. We visited today at 4:00 pm. Suze, our server, was professional with a friendly personality. The cocktails were excellent and the appetizers and sushi were delicious. The disappointment was that our server never mentioned that there was a happy hour menu. We found out about happy hour on our walk home, when we ran into a group of friends, who asked us about our experience. That was a failure on the part of our server. It jaded our enthusiasm; a game changer for us and our friends."
"I can't even be cheeky about this review because this place is top tier. I stopped in for a beer while I waited for takeout the first time. Got the Korean BBQ tacos - out of this world. Tonight I got the Beef Sliders which may have made me believe in a higher power.. They are amazing. Mini smash burger with cheese and onion, but wait there are extra little surprises in there that will blow you away... 10/10. Moved onto the main course of Momma's Bulgogi. Which was in all honesty a chef's kiss to the dish. Flavor profile was mild but distinct, you can tell that the person preparing it wants you to experience every part of the dish. I'll keep updating this with new recommendations but so far I haven't had anything here that I wouldn't have again or make me not want to try something else."
