"We switched to this pool supply store after the one in Abington closed. Big mistake. They tested our pool water in May and June at least 5 times and over a 4 week period and sold us $1000 worth of chemicals and our water stayed murky. Each time we tested we were told to use x amount of chlorine packets. We went thru 2 full cases and that was after shocking it. I attempted to return some of the chemicals and was told they don't accept returns. The water tester had told me I was going to have a big problem for the rest of the summer with pH so $400 of that was to treat for pH. I thought about it and it didn't make sense so I returned it. When I politely continued to ask how they could predict an all summer long problem on Jun 15 they finally allowed the return. They also sold us expired test strips and chemicals. When I asked about that I was told that that the exp. date doesn't matter. This is when we switched to Sunshine Pool Co. in Hanson. They advised us to only open and close with liquid chlorine. Our pool was clear and all tests within range in 4 days. The Pool Place also sold us new filter fingers last season. The filter never worked properly after that. Sunshine took it all apart for us and replaced the gaskets and found that the cover was installed upside down. We were not charged for this work. Im convinced that Sunshine Pool company is the best pool maintenence company around. We barely spent anything on chemicals this season compared to other seasons. Easton Pool Place is dishonest and fraudulent. All done with them."

"Cool store and friendly staff, but heed the warnings of the other reviews. Their service department is frustrating to deal with. In our case, we went in today for a time and cost estimate for stair installation. The guy "had no idea" on both questions, citing that they use outside contractors. I, then, asked for the name of one of the contractors so I can gather this information before purchasing through them. He says, "You can't contact the contractors directly. You have to go through us. You could always just rent the tools and do it yourself!". So he didn't have the information I needed before purchasing, and refused to direct me somewhere that I could get that information. The smug remark of "just do it yourself!" was the ribbon on top. After this interaction, I won't ever be doing any major purchases through this store."
