"I had a boot-fitting appointment with Sean (Shawn?) yesterday because my boot has been causing some compression injuries to my big toe. He went through a thorough, step-by-step analysis of the issue and potential solutions, from small modifications to my shell and liner to a custom insole. What I most appreciated was that he didn’t try to upsell me immediately on the most expensive solution, but rather suggested to try one thing at a time. The entire staff seems very knowledgeable and always very friendly. Boston Ski & Tennis has become my go-to store for ski equipment and service - I wouldn’t go anywhere else."

"I've been leasing ski & snowboard gear for my family here for years. The fitting process is always efficient and smooth and the return process is super quick. I wouldn't really think of going anywhere else. This year I decided to buy my gear while still renting for my kids. I got a great deal on a skis/boots/poles package and the boot fitting was super thorough. Now I've got the most comfortable boots I've ever had. Unfortunately, a few weeks after we picked up our gear, my son sustained an injury (on his bike) that will prevent him from snowboarding this season. Since he's the primary snow sports enthusiast in our family, that meant that none of us were going to go this season. I emailed BS&T asking if there was any way to get some money back if I brought my rentals back early. I quickly received a very empathic response stating that while there was no official policy for this, they'd figure out some way to help me out. I returned my rentals and they gave me a credit for the majority of my rental fee that I'll be able to use next season. The thoughtfulness and flexibility of the people at BS&T has made this unfortunate situation a little bit better. Many thanks to Mike C. and all of the other folks there. I'll always get my ski & snowboard gear there."

"I am compelled to share my recent experience with Boston Ski + Tennis, where I sought a performance tune-up for my skis at the cost of $125. Regrettably, the service fell short of expectations. The skis were returned with messy wax residue on the sides, not befitting the high standards promised for the price paid. Upon noticing the oversight, I politely requested the excess wax be removed, only to encounter an abrupt and snappy response from the front desk staff. Moments later, a large gentleman from the back room emerged, handling my skis with unnecessary force as he placed them on the counter. The lack of basic civility in our interaction was stark; he departed with a huff, dismissing my thanks without a word. This interaction was not just unprofessional but also indicative of the lack of customer service acumen at this establishment—a sentiment echoed in previous reviews I had optimistically chosen to overlook. For those considering Boston Ski + Tennis for their ski servicing needs, I advise you to proceed with caution. The premium price does not equate to premium service, and the customer care is significantly lacking. There are many service providers who value their customers and deliver on their promises—my advice is to seek out these establishments instead."

"Both my husband and I have had incredible experiences with the ski boot fitting services at Boston Ski & Tennis. The staff listened to and addressed our concerns and was extremely knowledgable and patient, taking the time and care to ensure an absolutely wonderful service experience. In addition, the depth of inventory allowed both of us to try multiple boots to ensure we could compare across brands and models. I have a particularly hard to fit size and Marc went above and beyond to help me. I would highly recommend their custom ski boot fitting service."

"I bought skis, which I was very happy with. If that was it, this would have been 5 stars. We also got seasonal rentals for our 5 year old from Boston Ski and Tennis. Unfortunately when we got to the mountain, one ski for the 5 year old kept popping off - very unsafe. The mountain rental shop said the skis failed the twist test and they couldn't fix the issue. We took it back and Boston Ski and Tennis said the skis were good and that their machines were superior to the hand testing at the mountain rental shop (even though the hand testing at the mountain shop was clearly reflecting reality since the ski in question kept on popping off). Overall very unsafe - especially since these were skis for a 5 year old. We got a replacement at the mountain, but we still had to spend extra money to get the rental at the mountain. We eventually got replacement skis for the 5 year old at Boston Ski and Tennis. But I'm unsure how they'll perform until we ski again. I have greater trust in the mountain shop. I suppose this could have been worse if we had the opposite issue with the skis. Still, if your looking for rentals for kids, perhaps look elsewhere. We've done seasonal rentals for years (from other places) and this is a first."
