"A few dollars more than other lobster shacks in the area but somehow proved to be our favorite stop. Excellent patio and great view of the water, boats, and work being done."

"The food is definitely fresh but very under seasoned and pricy compared to other restaurants in Bristol. We got mussels (tons of butter and garlic) with a white wine sauce that was 90% butter, a lobster roll which was okay but under seasoned, and calamari which was good after adding quite a bit of salt."

"The Lobster roll run in Boothbay continues with a stop after visiting picturesque Pemiquid Light. We found Shaws close by and we were not disappointed with the fully belly clams or the lobster roll. The roll was a light mayo mix with toated roll and lettuce. While I am not a fan of lettuce on my lobster roll, there was so much lobster I left the roll and small amount of lettuce behind. The real surprise was the delicious fried clams. We chose the small order of fully belly. Lightly breaded and perfectly fried. The veiws off the deck and the activity of the lobster boats made for a great little lunch stop."

"The quality of food was good and fresh. Very small portions of seafood for the price that you pay (only 5 scallops in a combo platter). All of the food was cooked well except for the scallops, which were overcooked and rubbery. The menu states that meals come with rolls but you have to ask (sometimes twice) for them. Blueberry pie was generic but good. They do not give whipped cream with it. We sat inside, which was lovely with a view. The only complaint I have there is the salt grinder on the table was clogged and salt would not come out. Customer service was just okay. Would I go back? Probably not."

"Shaw’s is tucked away in New Harbor, a great spot to eat after visiting the Pemaquid Lighthouse and not too far from Damariscotta & Newcastle. Fresh lobster, lobster rolls, steamers, beer, and a lot of other seafood options. All very good, on the water where you can watch boats arrive and offload their catch (lobster). You can buy live lobster to take home to cook."
