"We made a reservation for a UHaul for 8am. We showed up at 8:05 and were told the person who “did that stuff” was gone and would be back within a few minutes as they had just gone to the parts store TWO minutes down the road. The only employee at the store had no idea how to do anything related to the rentals. 20 minutes later and nothing. We leave, not intending on spending our whole day there. We’re then told, later, by a FEW HOURS, that we were in “late pick-up status” which would result in a late fee. We refused to pay the fee. The man was incredibly rude and we canceled the truck. Making 10 trips with a truck/trailer was preferable to dealing with these people. So… If you’re looking for a UHAUL and you want to save yourself driving time by renting here vs other places—don’t. All you’ll get is a run-around, cigarette smoke blown in your face, and a late fee for mistakes. Can’t say I’m surprised, but after living in the town for a year I was hoping for better."
