"We drive an hour there and an hour back just for this Chinese. Our local place we went to for years had closed last year. I have loved this place since I first went in 2019. And now it is the rest of my family’s favorite too. The family of this business are kind people, the food proportions are more than enough for the price and the atmosphere is clean and calming."

"I was looking for a Chinese restaurant near me. I’ve never tried the Spring Garden in Barrington, and gave it a try. HUGE mistake! We drove 30 mins to get there, and found that it was a typical strip mall venue. I first saw a scribbled sign on the wall that said “bathrooms out of order. I believe I saw 2 booths to sit and eat. I’m under the impression that if you serve food, and have seating, you are required to have a bathroom available. Ordering was quite the experience. We were trying to explain to the young girls taking orders what we wanted, even though it was simple numbers for each item. It then took 35 minutes to get simple dinner specials. It was the worst food I have ever eaten. Pork Fried Rice had onions and minuscule specs of pork and was completely tasteless. By far, the rice was the worst ever. The rest was equally bad. I would think twice before going here…ever! I can’t recommend anything at this “restaurant”."
