"This place definitely knows their customer base. It's a little off-putting at times, like today, they had five or six used bicycles with homemade price tags on them chained to the guardrail for the walkway. I'm guessing for those who have lost their license due to DUI? And then as soon as you walk in, there displaying cold weather coats next to snacks. I can appreciate a bodega, but, some of the stuff is a bit much. The customer service is hit or miss. I go there fairly often, and there are a couple employees who are rude AF, and some that are super pleasant and helpful. So it ends up balancing out I guess. But you're either going to have a great experience or an infuriating one. They do have an excellent selection, but, it's a little overstocked. There's not enough room to display what they have, and I get that that's not on them they're dealing with what they have. I just prefer a lighter atmosphere I guess. I will say that this is one of the only businesses I've been in where I watched them, not throw out, but request a patron to leave, who was not happy about the request, because she refused to wear a mask. So good on the staff for that. More businesses need to put up with less b******* about that."

"Jay's has a wonderful selection of wines and you could be in there quite a while perusing the plethora of types and brands. They have wine spectator points on the ones that qualify for that system, but there are plenty of simple table wines also. If you are looking for other libations, you won't be disappointed in the selections available... High end lower end brands are available at Jay's wine and spirits!!!"
