"My husband and I tried this place out. The parking lot was pretty full, but I believe most everyone wad in the lounge. It made for a really nice relaxing meal. The dining room and lounge are separated, so the typical jovial atmosphere from the lounge did not affect our meal. I enjoyed the Bourbon St Chicken sandwich, and my husband had the maple bacon burger. The burger was cooked to his preferred doneness and everything wad tasty. Waitress was pleasant and helpful, but didn't hover or rush us. It was a great dinner out."
"Sad to have to change my review - I previously absolutely loved this place! I had not once been disappointed, we were going often. A couple highlights - the New Orleans Stir Fry (OMG it's so good I struggle to order anything else when I come in, but there's still so many things I wanted to try), there was a Southwest Steak Tip special (absolutely amazing, I love their steak tips and they're always cooked perfectly - kudos to the chefs), the fried haddock is sometimes the best around too. The fried scallops idk, they didn't seem to have much breading and were very greasy (see pic). I prefer the bar area, it seems cozier to me, and we've never had a terribly hard time finding parking. The only thing I would add is a litl more local beer, there are so many great breweries in Maine. BUT all that being said, the service has been so awful the last few times we don't want to come back anymore. It doesn't really seem like anyone's in charge. The bartender doesn't seem to pay attention to the tables in the bar at all, I realize it's the server's job, but if the server isn't doing a good job, or isn't able to keep up, I'd think she would be on top of stuff, there's not that many tables down there. We got ignored last night for quite a while before deciding to move upstairs in the hopes of better service, but instead they just told the server that already disappointed us that she could have our table upstairs, then we proceeded to wait even longer! We extended our wait by trying to get away from her. She was barely apologetic when she finally came over and we got our drinks and placed our order at the 24 minute mark. Ain't nobody got time for that."
"Went by for late lunch, few beers. Bar area is quaint and comfortable, We liked the atmosphere. Staff friendly as well. I had fried haddock which was a decent portion. Wife had lobster roll lunch special which she enjoyed. Small touch of melted butter on the side was great touch. We thought reasonably priced for what we ate and drank. Will return for sure"
"Pleasantly surprised at the diverse menu and the quality of the two dishes we ordered. Was worried this would be dressed up pub grub but it wasn’t. Would have kicked up the bolognese sauce on the fettuccine with a little red wine and perhaps made the pasta Al dente, but overall it was good. Rib dish was nice. Prices and quantity of food also good. Will come back. Good service."
"My husband and I tried Town Hill Grille tonight around 5pm. We ordered the clam chowder to try. It was very hot, full of clams and very good. I had a Downeast Cider, which is very hard to find in MA, never mind Maine! And homemade rolls. I ordered baked haddock and my husband ordered the Fried scallops! The scallops were huge and delicious, and the baked haddock was cooked perfectly with a baked potato & gb. We did not have desert as we were too full. I took 1/2 the haddock and baked potato home."
