Reviews of Noodles King
"The #1 noodles are my favorite. Best chinese dish from longwood galleria tbh"
"By far the best restaurant in the Longwood Galleria. The noodles are cooked fresh in front of you and all the food is extremely flavorful. My favorite is #1 on the menu, the noodles are thick and the broth is spicy. Note that service can be slow, almost 30 min at peak hours, but the wait is well worth it."
"When I think of Longwood, I think of Noodles King. What a gem! This was my first time here in 2 years but I always think of it the few times a year I find myself in the area. We got the #1 Xian hand pulled biang biang noodles with pork. This was probably my least favorite of the things we got -- the noodles were rather thick and doughy. They are pulled fresh for every order but the quality seemed a bit off today. I've heard that the biang biang noodle quality is inconsistent here. The pork was $2 extra ($13.98 total) and was generous in quantity. The fattier parts were nice and tender, but some other parts were a bit mealy/grainy. The sauce is a vinegar-based sauce which grew on me (though not spicy as claimed). Overall it was a lot of food and a hearty dish, but the noodle quality was not great today. We also got the #8 spicy Sichuan beef ramen ($13.98). I thought it was strange that they called it ramen but they do literally use the yellow curly ramen noodles. This was really good. The beef was tender, the soup was hot and savory, and the noodles soaked it all up well. The soup was a bit oily and it was hard to escape the oil when drinking it, but it was overall a delicious dish. Lastly we got the #22 Shanxi pork bun ($5.98). We weren't sure what to expect but it was quite a massive "side" dish. The bun part was crunchy on the outside and softer where it soaked up some pork flavor. The pork was really tender. They made a great duo next to the powerful flavors of the noodle soups. It was a lot of food for $36 (seems like they don't take tip?) and we had plenty of leftovers that kept really well for dinner (#22 in the toaster oven is a crispy delight and #1 soaks in all the flavors). I've also gotten #21 in the past which is a massive pork bun beyond what I would ever expect for $3.98 in this area! Juicy meat inside and soft steamed bun... I'll be looking forward to the next time I find myself in the area!"
"Noodles are hand made. I got a number 1 with pork. It was served very hot. Noodles were very good the dish was flavorful. A few of the noodles were clumpy. Definitely a filling dish. For those who are used to machine made noodles these are totally different. I have made homemade pasta and that is also not the same as store bought. Overall I'm glad I tried something new. Very busy and you will wait a bit longer for this meal."
"Considering that this is in a food court type place, I am pleasantly shocked at how good the food was! Takes a little bit more time for you to get your order but you can see her preparing it, and it definitely tastes fresher. The hand pulled noodles are delightfully chewy - maybe a tad on the gummy side, but I kind of like that. They give a good amount of meat and it is tender and tasty. The broth is a little more sour than I am used to, but still very good. The only real complaint I had is that it wasn’t spicy enough, but I think I will just ask to make it extra spicy next time :)"
