"Place looks great from the outside. While driving for 3 hours I needed a drink which I got. I also needed to go to the bathroom which I got permission denied. Not sure why. Unfortunately my bowels were not cooperating and they have a lovely facility on the side of the building I reluctantly had to use. It was cold!"
"Before I begin, I would like to share that I am a retired disabled servicemember with 26 years in the military. I am also currently a civil servant and the father of four beautiful children. That is to say, I am no better or worse than the next man (or woman.) My experience with Nobscot Wine & Spirit began with a mundane transaction that wasn't overly remarkable. A representative that wasn't overly friendly and really didn't need to be for what I needed. My second experience with Nobscot was exceptionally remarkable. It began with me calling the store to request the status a limited availability bottle of whiskey. I was told to check the website and if it was in stock, on the website, then I should come to purchase. In my previous experiences, the person answering the phone normally checks for me but, I could understand if they were busy to refer people to the website. So, off I went to the store, some 30 minutes out of my way to secure a bottle of my prized spirits. When I got there, the cashier got the bottle for me and advised he needed to call his manager to ensure the bottle wasn't on hold. This is were things to a turn for the unexpected. The cashier then told me that the bottle was on hold for a r someone and I was simply out of luck. At that point I was very much upset after driving so far and not getting what I wanted especially after doing everything I was asked to do to receive my bottle. To say I am disappointed with them is a gross understatement. So, if you live there, I understand that they may be convenient for you to shop but if you have to drive for any distance, I would seriously reconsider using this establishment. You never know, it may be you who is inconvenienced because the manager is holding something for someone else."
"For the most part, I had been happy with this store since it changed ownership. Prices are obviously not as good as Total Wine, but I believe in supporting local small business owners. I normally have a good experience there, friendly service, decent selection. However my outlook has changed over the past week. There was a sale on 1.5 Liter Mondavi wines, bought 2 bottles and both had slightly turned, leaving that borderline acrid vinegar taste. I was already at an event with no time to return, so tossed both bottles and wondered if that was why they were on sale - no longer palatable. This week the cashier was extremely rude and condescending when I misread a sale price for a bottle I chose. Two signs were taped under the bottle and covered up the original non-sale price, so given a quick glance and being in a rush, I only noticed one. People aren't always perfect right? When it rang up $5 over and I questioned it, I was spoken to like I was absolutely moronic thinking that this wine would ever cost so little, and then mocked like an imbecile who couldn't read as he pointed at both tags asking if I couldn't tell the difference between them! So much for supporting small business. This is how they treat the customers in their community? This consumer will not tolerate obnoxious attitude. I'll now be driving a little extra distance to Lincoln Liquors and be treated respectfully, and take all friends I previously recommended to Nobscots Wine along with me."
"If I could give a negative star I would. I had made some Zima purchases at this location and because the machine wouldn't take them the store clerk would not honor the returns. However would happily sell more with the deposit. I feel because this store sells this they need to accept the returns. After all they charged for the initial deposit."
"At the end of my shopping, I gave 100$ bill to the cashier. My change was 20$ short. When I asked for it, the cashier had a long face and an aggressive attitude and no apologies. They should treat their customers with much more respect."
