Barn Door Breakfast

"I ordered the Barn Door Deluxe, with sauteed greens, smashed potatoes, and carnitas. And boy, was it deluxe and delicious!! You can upgrade the pancakes to blueberry and I sure am glad I made that choice. Don't get me wrong the plain pancakes are fluffy, large and super tasty, but the blueberries really add something special. The real maple syrup is a nice touch as well. On a busy Saturday morning the host and servers made us feel very welcome, cared for and really kept that coffee and tea flowing. I highly recommend the friendly folks at Barn Door Breakfast. The kitchen is obviously talented, the staff are all friendly, and the food is perfect."

"Great breakfast with CRISPY BACON! Not everyone gets that right, but this was perfect! Eggs cooked to order and sour dough today! Yummy breakfast with eclectic coffee mugs...one of my favorite homey touches! Friendly helpful staff. Will return!"

"We were excited to try this place out because we’ve enjoyed their baked goods at the bookstore, however it just wasn’t good. I got scrambled eggs with the grilled muffin, and the tot waffle. The tot waffle was almost inedible and should just be removed from the menu as a TikTok trend gone wrong. It’s hard and bad. Scrambled eggs were meh, the muffin was good. My husband said his poached eggs were not good. Heavy. He also said his coffee was bad. Their menu is very small, which usually means a restaurant has handpicked their best. If that’s true, that’s really disappointing. We were the second people in the restaurant and service still took seemingly forever. Prices seemed high for what you get. I think they need to revamp their menu with someone truly objective, and put the emphasis on their baked goods."

"Barn Door Breakfast is open on Main Street, Damariscotta! We enjoyed bottomless coffee, blueberry pancakes, and the tot waffle! Everything was delicious and the restaurant looks cozy and refreshed. We also tried the Mr. French’s Toast and can’t get it off of our minds; it’s almost custard-like French toast that melts in your mouth. Highly recommend. The owners / bakers also own Barn Door Café, the café attached to Sherman’s Book Shop (also on Main St). Glad to see this space open and serving delicious breakfast and lunch options! Can’t wait to get back to taste more of the menu."
