"One of the most authentic Chinese restaurants for Northern Chinese Cuisine. I will definitely come back often. Love the meat dishes here."
"Every dish we’ve tried has been perfectly flavored and delicious, the space is bright and cheery, and the staff goes above and beyond to be considerate and kind. Give this place a try — you won’t regret it."
"Finding a Chinese restaurant that combines casual dining with modern flair and exceptional seafood dishes is a nice treat, and Hao Shi Guang delivers just that. During my latest visit, the Garlic Grilled Scallop Skewers stole the spotlight. These succulent morsels were grilled to perfection and luxuriated in a rich garlic butter sauce. But the real twist came with the glass noodles, which not only soaked up the buttery goodness but also introduced an unexpected yet delightful textural contrast. Their Fried Calamari was another hit. Avoiding the common pitfalls of rubbery texture or lackluster taste often associated with calamari, Hao Shi Guang's rendition stood out for all the right reasons. Infused with a zing of chili powder and crowned with crispy fried shallots, each bite was a mini explosion of flavor and crunch. The only dish that fell short of expectations was the Crayfish over Rice. Though served in a hearty portion, the overpowering sauce managed to eclipse the natural subtleties of the crayfish, resulting in a less balanced plate. Despite this minor blip, HaoshiGuang is a place where I would not hesitate to go back. Among myriad of trendy Chinese restaurants in Allston, this place stands out, and I am intrigued to try more of their skewer specialties in my future visits."
"I especially love the rice. I don’t prefer shrimp taste in food so I don’t really like the tastes of green beans. I do love the taiwanese style fried chicken and the shredded potatoes. I also love the beef, not chewy but soft."
"Upscale food at non-upscale prices!! The spicy lamb spine stew is mindblowing. Everything felt like a good quality good. The service and the dining setup (plates, etc) is really high end. I look forward to eating here again."
