Reviews of Wild Oats Bakery & Café
"Wild Oats is a community staple, and a great supporter of local organizations as well. They have a huge variety, and it's very very easy to walk out of there having spent $30 on what was meant to be a grab-and-go breakfast. Overall, this place is a bit pricey, but fine for an occasional indulgence. My only problem with Wild Oats is ALLERGY contamination. Sure, no one eats at a bakery like this expecting a perfect, sterile, contaminant-free kitchen....but it's not an issue that I've had with other bakeries in town. My allergy is to almonds specifically (not other tree nuts or peanuts), so I carefully avoid items with almonds in the ingredients.....but without fail, I get a reaction right on schedule whenever I eat here. Clearly there's some cross contamination happening. Luckily, it's mild, and it's something I put up with because sometimes you just want a dang brownie....Still, someone with a more severe allergy would be best to avoid eating here."
"I ordered 3 different vegan/gf whoopie pies! SO good. The gf granola has been excellent as well. Would love to go back and try more goodies! So great to have so many GF and DF options!"
"Pastries are pretty good although a little expensive. Large variety of prepared food to take home or you can also ask for a fresh made sandwich. Packed snacks and cute souvenirs."
"Visited this wonderful bakery and cafe while on summer break. You can buy coffee, baked goods, soup, sandwiches, salads, and many prepared foods. Make time to visit at least twice so you can sample a variety of sandwiches and baked goods. The staff was friendly and helpful and the space and restrooms inviting and clean This was not a 5 star experience for two reasons - the soup is not as delicious as the sandwiches and baked goods and the food can be pricey. You can sample the soups before buying which I recommend for you determine if you like the flavor."
"Wow, what can I say? Wild Oats has so many yummy options! We timed our visit for mid afternoon when they mark down some of their baked goods. We got some Pecan Sandies and Everything cookies. They were very large and very flavorful. Wild Oats is very large with a bakery, prepared food and seating area. They have sandwiches, wraps and paninis, $10.95-$12.95. They have many varieties of soups and prepared meals. All the employees I observed were friendly and remained on task. I will come back to Wild Oats when I am in the area. Next time I will try their bread and a whoopie pie."
