"This is such a delightful and unique spot. We were uncertain about what to expect, but thought the concept sounded cool and were up for an adventure. First, the ambiance is warm and welcoming, perfect for a cold February night. We felt like we were entering an old time speakeasy. I brought a small bottle of vodka and my companions ordered non-alcoholic mocktails. I highly recommend The Figlet, made with fresh lime, sage-infused simple syrup and fig preserves. The appetizer offerings were equally unusual and delicious. You can also bring food from outside or have it delivered. But I suggest you try at least one of the apps. My favorite was the cacio e pepe toast on sourdough. I had been wanting to try this place ever since I first heard about it, and am so glad we were able to get in."

"This place is amazing! Had a 90s themed book club party with 10 moms and it was "da bomb" (insert 90s adjective for awesome!). I loved all the attention to detail (mini carafes, mini clothespins for drinks, perfect glass straws), the inclusion of impressive mock-tails, and the ability to pour your own amount of alcohol, and bring/order the food you want to eat based on dietary restrictions/allergies, etc. Loved the decor and the whole atmosphere! It surpassed all expectations! Can't wait to plan another event here! The owner is wonderful to work with - can't say enough good things!"

"Such a fun place! The vibes are perfect for a cozy date or a catch up with friends - the atmosphere is the coolest version of a living room with the opportunity to try craft cocktails. I loved being able to try new flavors with my own alcohol (and to opt for one booze free!) Bring your own food from the wealth of Coolidge Corner offerings and some delicious snacks on the menu made it hard to choose. Strong recommend! We will be back!"

"A truly groundbreaking experience! I’ve never seen anything like this and can’t wait to go back. This is an intimate place for grown-ups who value atmosphere, ambiance, and exquisite taste in all aspects: food, mixers, glassware, background music, and all the tiny, important details that go into making a welcoming and inviting space. Everywhere you look there is something pleasing to rest your eye on. Everyone you encounter is helpful and knowledgeable. Everything you get to eat is thoughtfully created. And everything alcoholic you drink you bring yourself and pour to your own taste using their glassware, ice, and accoutrements. The DIY mixer trays are beautiful, brilliant, and playfully fun. We enjoyed the Grape Crush mixer and the Count Camilo. We brought in NA sparkling wine and bourbon. Then we popped across the hall to Sorriso’s when we felt like we might like some amaro. Super easy and convenient. Likewise prepay reservations and vemno for day-of purchases made everything hassle free. The food that came to us was well paced and incredibly delicious. I didn’t know how wonderful cauliflower and cheese sliders could taste. I love the seasonality and careful consideration that went into every course. I’m still dreaming of the pina colada dessert. My advice: Get your reservations and enjoy the speakeasy coziness and the master craftsmanship of Barlette."
