"My husband and I chose the Lanam Club as our wedding venue. My parents were married here 38 years ago and my grandfather was a member at the Lanam Club as well. Most people would call this a significant place to their family. However, my husband was treated rather rudely when he arrived at 10:30am the day of our wedding when we were specifically told that we would have the venue the entire day (NOTE: A day = 24 hours, he was there for less than 12 hours). While he and his grandfather, father, and best man showed up he intended to setup our wedding spot and shoot some pool while waiting for our first look, which was at 2pm. Now, anyone who knows weddings they go rather quickly. My husband's intention was to savor the whole moment, why would he be disrespected? Geoff, the manager is not a true professional.... If he was he would have treated my friends, family, and most important of all my husband with respect. Many of our friends and family noted to us that dinner felt rather rushed. If anyone went to the bathroom, their plate was left behind thus risking itself of being taken away, which did occur a few times. My recommendation to you is to to ask yourself if this is right for you? If tradition means something to you, then go for it. However, the management team is not professional."

The meal itself was extraordinary from salad to dessert and their assortment of wines was astonishing. Beyond this, they actually converted me (a person who normally dislikes chocolate) into someone who still fantasizes about their lava cake months later."
