"Took a light pilates class. It was great! Cost is so affordable!"
"Great gym with clean saunas and showers. They lost the paperwork on my cancellation and ended up charging me an extra month, which was annoying, but otherwise a good uncomplicated experience."
"The gym is really nice and the range of equipment is great but some of the men that workout here are creepy, and will harass you when you’re trying to workout. If you’re a woman, you might get bothered by older men."
"The gym overall has a very wide range of options to enhance your fitness & health but be aware of a lot of entitled seniors that don’t understand it. LADIES! LADIES! LADIES! Please be mindful of the men at the gym that will make you uncomfortable because the men at this gym have and will not be shy. Speak up for yourself or tell the front desk."
"Northampton Athletic Club is a decent, smaller gym. It’s in a good area and very accessible from many different directions. NAC does have a basketball court, but it is very, very small. There are often other activities occurring on the basketball court or the court is very slippery - so if you’re looking for a place to hoop DO NOT come here! In terms of the actual weights/machines - most are very old or rusty. Some machines do not have the proper equipment to adjust according to different peoples needs. Staff are mostly friendly and receptive to feedback. There’s a rock wall for bouldering and top-roping. Many different classes (i.e. yoga, pilates) going on throughout the week. All in all, I think the membership is over priced when considering the overall quality of equipment and workout spaces. The hours ARE NOT friendly for late-night exercisers! Hope this helps!"
