H&R Block

"Think twice about using H&R Block. $3,328.00 error made by a "Master Tax Advisor" at the Saugus, MA location during Covid-19's no contact/drop-off only tax prep season. Because I was not given the opportunity to purchase Peace of Mind during the drop off only tax prep season no one at H&R Block will give me the time of day. No accountability to correct error, blamed the software as a cover of incompetence. Escalated issue to branch manager and was basically laughed at and told that "no one could/would help me. Manager would ask her district manager, but the answer is NO. Not in the history of the company will H&R pay out for a mistake". Opened and escalated a second issue/concern case - that was 2 weeks ago, when I called to follow up last week the H&R Rep said that "there were so many complaints, they are just can't handle responding but my case would be placed as urgent". No response to this day! But I was sent a check for only $400 ish dollars - fine print enclosed in a "Dear Client" letter is that H&R Block wants me to cash it so their obligation to me is done...waiting on that second check for the remainder of what is owed to make this situation right! Do better!!!"
