"Friendly and convenient local market for bulk spices and south Asian ingredients. They also sell frozen homemade momos!"
"I like to give business to small stores vs. supermarkets but I always end up skipping this store. I've seen it degrading over the years and even with the new management the quality issues are worsening. Not that supermarkets are necessarily any better but having bought representative items of everything they sell over the years, they've all failed my standards one way or another. (1) Rat infested. You can visibly see traps put out and droppings and extensively so in the invisible storage area (can be seen from the street). (2) Expired spices. Check the expiration date of all the items you buy. I had been sold expired spices a couple of times. Also during summer excessively hot temperatures shortens the lifespan of items. They don't run an air conditioner. (3) Messy and poorly organized specially their freezer section. (4) Poor quality suppliers. Even their garlic starts to mold within a day of purchase and always on the verge of expiring. Same thing with mangoes - poor quality fiber intensive with invariable mold growth inside. The rest of the fruits/greens are similarly 3rd rate and inferior; bland bananas, wilted herbs and endless selection of low grade, processed junk food. (5) The last but not least the prices are high for the poor quality and limited selection."
"New management doing great than previous owners. Definitely providing better service, still no price tag, need some improvement on that. It's nice place to buy food items. BEWARE they sell expired food CHECK DATE BEFORE BUYING."
"NO. Wouldn't recommend buying anything from here. A bit late now, but during my first visit we saw huge rats running around inside the store and the storekeeper casually dismissed our concerns and smiled."
"This store need to inspect soon possible from city of Somerville , I just got 2 expired coconut"
