H&R Block

"I wrote a review already but it was never posted. Awful experience from start to finish. Filed complaint with the corporate office. To make a long story short. We had left my sons taxes to be done because we had appointment set up with Lois but Lois had left early. Well my sons tax documents ended up getting shredded. Got the run around for almost 2 months before Lois told use what happened. Ended up meeting up with her just 5 days before tax deadline. 4 1/2 hours with her because my son and I had to figure out how to get his tax forms and then we were charged $355 and was told by Lois we would get it back for all our troubles. Have not received it back yet and my son is paying interest on that amount. Lois blamed everything on everyone else instead of acknowledging she should have contacted us when the documents were first shredded so we weren’t blind sided 5 days before tax deadline. We would like the $355 back plus for all the stuff we went through."

"AWFUL and a RIP OFF..... Heidi is nice who did my taxes and that's the only good thing. They charged me $425.00 to do my taxes. An accountant would charge $250 maximum, I only have one investment property and 3 jobs. I had an appointment and showed up and nobody was there no explanation no apology. They only wanted to give me $25 off my final bill for that inconvenience when I lost A-day off work and gas. HR block Coventry did not get back to me after I called corporate for about 3 weeks. Lois Marandola was very rude to me on the phone. She lied and said they could only take $50 off And she did not even tell me that she was from H and R block she expected me to know who she was. I called corporate again to complain. They had somebody call me back at 705pm and tell.me I would get $75 off but I had to pay by midnight. I was at work.. I called corporate to complain again how rude they spoke to me as if they were a collections agency. The general manager finally called me back and they took a $100 off. Lois your a liar, and you said the max you could take off was $50. Thank you and thank you to the other clown who gave me a deadline and was rude. I ended up saving 100. Do not go here they will rip you off and they don't care or even apologize for their mistakes. They behave like used car sales people nice to your face once there's a problem they don't get back to you and give you the run around!!"

"If I could give a negative rating I would. I truly believe that this location has more competent people however we were not so lucky. Not only did our original person not show for our appointment but we were told we had to drop it off instead. Dropped it off on a Saturday to then not have any communication from anyone for days even though we were told we would. Fast forward to myself having to call every week for 2 weeks to get some form of an update other than “I’m working on it” or “we don’t know who has your stuff.” When we finally got our person and an update she said we had to come in to finalize. Fast forward to the appointment and she forgot about it and we had to “finalize” over the phone. After a lack of communication, a ridiculous charge of 320 and no answers to our questions regarding the return we decided to not finalize with H AND R BLOCK and pick up our papers. I’m sure they have more competent people than Lois but this was a horrible experience and we will not be returning. Had we had solid communication from the start and felt heard and trusted it wouldn’t have ended like this. But the customer service was lacking from the beginning which made us feel uneasy. I hope no one has to have this experience."

"Jean Card is a knowledgeable, friendly and caring person. H&R Block should feel fortunate to employ such a wonderful person. I wouldn't want anyone else preparing my taxes. She always goes the extra mile. Hopefully you will be able to find more people like Jean, though she is quite unique."
