"Had a horrible experience with this office. The tax prepaprer made numerous errors on my return, one of which would have cost me thousands of dollars if I hadn't caught it. She also took deductions on my return without consulting me. The office also billed me for services I didn't need and now, months later, still hasn't issued a refund. You will do better going elsewhere."

"This is my 2nd google review ever. I normally do not do them because I don’t like to nitpick. But I am telling you now, do not under any circumstances go here. I have a pretty simple situation tax-wise. Preparer didn’t see my 2nd W2 and did my taxes without it. I went to review the return. I was prompted to sign 4 documents before I could actually see my 1040 form. Apparently those 4 documents were me signing off on my taxes before I could even review the 1040, and even though I never clicked the big “sign and submit” button under the 1040 form. So taxes were somehow submitted incorrectly without the W2. To this day, my account is still prompting me to sign and submit - so bizarre. This normally wouldn’t be a huge issue, but what followed was. I messaged my tax pro. Absolutely no communication from the office. Filed a complaint. Waited a week and heard nothing. At one point I was transferred to the office (although at the time I had no clue who I was talking to) and the manager Heidi said that she had no record of complaint for me. She was incredibly condescending. I hung up, on the verge of tears. When I spoke to her today, she told me she closed my case because I was “unwilling” to explain AGAIN what had happened last time we spoke. I’m sorry… wait, you mean the case you never had record of?? WHAT. Then she clarified after she abruptly put me on hold that she closed it because the work was done on the case and that I should hear back soon with a resolution. Again WHAT?? This has been the most confusing, awful experience with customer service I’ve ever had. Sad thing is, it wasn’t a big problem initially and didn’t involve a complex solution. And yet, I am still waiting on refund and amended return. If you value your mental heath, do not take a chance here. This shook me up."

"I have been going to this Pawtucket location for the past 4 years and Patricia was amazing, always takes care of me. I think she was relocated to MA. I have been filing with H & R Block for the past 6 to 7 years. I recently made an appointment for 02/25/23 at 12pm. Confirmed my appointment with them via call and text message. I arrived at 11:55am, I was told Tony was with a client and that the wait time was 15 to 20 minutes. Tony was done with his client at 12:45pm, every customer walking through that door was being taken care of but me. I sat in my chair until 1:10pm then decided to leave since I was being ignored. Never got a call from anyone at that location after that horrible experience!!"
