Reviews of Apna Bazar - Woburn
"I really like this Indian store EXCEPT the fact that there are several EXPIRED products. I can see this is an ongoing issue based on prior reviews that go unanswered. Today I saw this myself. The guava pulp and all the rose spreads were all expired. The store can be well kept, the manager can be up front ensuring great customer service but if you cannot get ensure that your customers can get fresh products then we definitely have a major problem. Customer’s beware. Owner please address this asap."
"Produce go bad within 1 day and Disrespectful owner, Owner treated loyal customer with utter disrespect. Been shopping here for several months and thought I knew the owner and staff well. The moringa leaves always end up with fungus within 1 day kept happening 3 times in a row. 4th time thought I will let the owner know about it and see if I can exchange the VERY NEXT day. He just kept waving his hand and walking away as if he was treating a homeless person. Honestly a decent human being should not treat any person that way. I showed him my bill of 300$ and asked why would I try to cheat when I spend so much at his store every week, it was a matter of principle for me and he kept waving his hand saying Nai- Nai, leave. I mean seriously, in no place is such disrespectful behavior is warranted. If that is how he makes his profit and cares for a few dollars than treating his customers with respect, my money would rather go to smaller stores with owners having decency! Response to the owners false comment: The incident happened this afternoon and we have photo proof of the wasted produce and the bill. Speaks to the owners credibility. Instead of trying to mask bad reviews here, it would be better if they had some ethics of running a customer first business."
"This is one of the best store to get all Indian food, groceries, festival decorations, meats, puja items, etc all in one place. Also the prices are very reasonable. One thing I liked about this store is that it is organized very well even in rush hours. It’s so easy to find things in the store even though it is a big store."
"This was a fun grocery trip. They have so many products with lots of options for many of their products so you have choices galore. I could have used a guide to explain how to use some of the items but I managed to fill my shopping cart with lots of goods. The staff are super nice and helpful. They also carry grocery basics so you can get much of your shopping done here. Prices are quite reasonable and their specials are an especially great bargain."
"I've visited hundreds of Indian grocery stores across the country in the past 40 years. Apna Bazaar is easily the BEST shopping experience across the board compared to national chains like Patel Brothers. The inventory selection is huge - this is the first time in years that I've been overwhelmed by the fantastic array of choices for my favorite Indian foods. The frozen foods section is huge, with an extensive selection of vegetarian and non vegetarian delights at reasonable prices. As an example, I counted over 20 different brands / types of paratha as well as samosa. The isles are uncluttered, the store is super clean and well organized, the vegetables and fruits are fresh, with several choices of items like mangoes imported directly from India and South America. They have a meat and fish section where you can buy goat, and several types of Indian seafood. Kudos to the owners for crafting this incredible retail establishment and training staff to be courteous and helpful. I will drive 40 miles to shop at this store once a month. Best Indian grocery store in New England - having been to stores in New York, Queens, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine on numerous trips in the past 3 years."
