"“Want KraPao?” Is the best welcoming voice. However, watch your receipt. The cashier put prices in by hand which is not a great standard."
"One star is even too much. They sneakily overcharged 3 times in a row when I use credit card. $12.00 item was charged $12.50, $12.75 and $14.50 Watch your receipt closely or DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE."
"Great place to find asian ingredients, especially Thai or Vietnamese. They have amazing selection of Thai snacks im not gonna lie. I even found Maggi soysauce, fermented fish sauce (mắm cá sặc, mắm cá lóc), ferrmented soybean which I usually have to go all the way to Dorchester. If you all the way the end of the first aisle, they have good instant coffee sackets too. They have basic produce products (veggies, potato, onions, poultry, Thai fresh herbs,…). The shop owner is not very good at English but he’s super friendly. If you need him to help finding anything just show him a picture. They have 10$ minimum for credit card but you can ask to add extra 0.25$ to swipe any purchase that under $10 of you dont have any cash in hand. Please support this small business I’m sad seeing their produce products gone bad because of slow customers visits."
"They had jeow (chili paste in soybean oil) and khao niew (sweet, glutinous, or sanpatong rice) here! I couldn't find these Lao staples at H Mart, Super 88, or the nearby SE Asian grocery store."
"Sunrise market is great for my Thai cooking needs. The store came recommended by the instructor for the cooking class I took, and I couldn't agree more that this market has just about everything you would need for Thai cooking. There are ready made sauces, noodles, curries, rice, soy / fish sauces, and a variety of other essentials for making Thai food. After learning how to make Thai sticky rice, it was also great to find out that they sell cheap authentic bamboo baskets and aluminum pots for making one of my favorite side dishes! The Thai rice noodles are also about half as expensive as the Americanized version you find in your local grocery store. I only come here a few times a year to stock up on specialized items I can't find elsewhere, but Sunrise Market is perfect for those times."
