"This is one of the most understaffed Stop & Shops I have ever seen. The employees along with their manager are very rude. If you are putting premium prices for your products, how come your service is worse than a local grocery shop? I believe it is becoming a common issue with Stop & Shops nowadays. I am avoiding this place unless I am really in need of something here."

"I won’t assume to know if the employees here are paid/treated well but I’ve never seen a group of people who wanted to be there less. Saturday night, not busy at all and the self checkout did the call for an attendant halfway through. My mistake for doing self checkout. We waited for 10 min and nobody came to help. I tried to make eye contact with someone, she loudly announced she was going on break. Another attempt with another worker, she looked at me and walked away. I finally found someone and immediately she said to me “I don’t have a card to help you”. Which is fine, but can you find someone who does? I wanted to be there as much as they seemed to want me there. Finally someone came after 15 minutes and rudely told us “we didn’t scan the items” which we of course did. Overall just a wild experience. I’m not looking for white glove service at a stop n shop but I would like to actually be able to check out and move on with my life"

"Stay away if you can. This is one of the stop & shops that have increased their prices far more than competitors or even their own chain's other locations. Several food staples I have got for years have seen price increases averaging 30%, while the price is remain the same or only slightly changed at Market Basket and even some other Stop & Shop locations (for instance the one in Medford). Plenty of other options in the area. I will never return. Edit: The owner replied I should look for sales... I've used Stop & shop for years, and I'm well aware of their sales. They don't address the absurd pricing increases or the fact that within a few miles, I can even get some of the same items cheaper from another stop & shop. Let's talk about the sales though. They can be decent, but they actually made it harder to get the sale access for some items by implementing digital coupons. You essentially need to plan ahead and clip a virtual coupons or do it in store to get better pricing. Something none of their aforementioned competitors do. Oh, and let's talk about the fact that on the off chance you didn't bring a reusable bag, they give you bags that rip before you use them (real experience trying to separate them). And now they are charging you for those bags!"
