"Right after the Christmas holiday. They were out of a lot of items. They Seemed to only have non-fat sour cream in stock and none of the regular name brand mayonnaise except the fat free stuff. I did manage to find a white wine vinegar that I was looking for with the help from one of the floor employees."

"I like this store. They are all good, but the parking lot of the one on South Broadway in Salem, NH is far from great. The parking lot is downright atrocious and always has been! I have said this my entire life. The layout of the store is less than great in this particular location, too, but overall, the various stores are good. That said, I sure wish that they would have the same layout at all of their stores. It would make the shopping experience much easier, more enjoyable, much less stressful, and a heck of a lot quicker. Plus, I wouldn't have to intentionally bother staff because the layouts are too confusing to find things that I need. I will go to Market Basket stores as long as they stay in existence. Of all of the grocery stores in the area, they are the most reliable and are generally reasonably priced on staple items needed."

"These are the main problems with Market Basket stores: 1- Fish department always smells bad fish no matter which store. 2- The uniform of the meat and deli departments personnel are not clean at all. 3- Unfortunately, the young folks (high schoolers) working at cashier are not trained and do not know how to bag the things properly based on the weight and type, so the groceries get damaged. If trained correctly, Market Basket can save a huge number of the plastic bags therefore minimizing the cost in their favor and customers, as well as it is good for the environment. 4- Fruit quality is really low."

"I was in need of carrots (in bulk), and after a quick phone call, I was able get 50lb of carrots in an hour. Thanks to Gaby in produce section! I also appreciate Bonnie in the customer service who helped me connect to the folks in produce area. This was my first time going to this store and I was super impressed. I wish I lived nearby!"

"Great to have such a nice grocery store in the area. It is conveniently located right off route 114 and has everything you could need. The selection of beer and wine is great. The produce looks fresh and well stocked always. The meat and fish areas have a huge selection of choices and are always freshly prepared. The staff seems well trained and polite."
