"A new employee Nicole, who first time held me hostage at the register because her trainer wasn’t around. Then on Christmas Eve she was fantastic. 5/1/22 Dominic and Caitlin were incredibly helpful at first I got the impression I was going to be told to kick rocks but instead they did everything they could to take care of me"
"Pharmacy stuff is always rude. They act like you work there. You are supposed to know everything and every time you ask them a question they take as an insult, it’s like “why you were asking me that question?”. If you owe them money they never say your balance today is this amount, they just pointed to the machine. I have had multiple times fillings prescriptions over there and not one single time anyone ever asked me if I had any questions. They are wearing a mask, a face shield and there are 2 glasses on the counter between you and them. A member of the stuff got upset because I couldn’t stretch my hearing to understand their muffled voice. If you can deal with public maybe you should find another job, but I get, you are miserable!"
"Had an online order sent here to avoid having my package lost. I received a notification that the order was ready for pick up, but when I went there the very rude "manager" I spoke to told me my package was not there and that I needed to contact Fedex to file a claim for a lost package. That was confusing because I did not order through Fedex, I ordered through Walgreens and if the order is lost, they should be able to either resubmit a new order or refund me, that was the whole purpose of sending my order to a store, but they did neither. Regardless I called Fedex and was told the package was indeed delivered there and signed by an employee. I had to stand there waiting for the so called manager to help me because she decided she did not want to deal with the issue and walked away. The very nice cashier kept calling a manager to the front but she refused to respond to the request for a very long time, even though she could see me standing at the register and she knew I was waiting for her assistance. It wasn't until I locked eyes with her that she felt obligated to come talk to me. After I told her what Fedex had told me all she had to say was: "write down your information and an assistant manager will call you tomorrow." Tomorrow never came apparently because no one ever called me. Not sure why I needed to speak to an assistant Manager if she was a manager. Very disappointed with the horrible customer service at this store."
"I wish I caught the name of the cashier who rung me up today- she was an African American woman with dreadlocks. She was the nicest, most friendliest cashier I've ever meet-she made my day! Walgreens should hire more people like her"
"The worst Walgreens I have ever EVER been to! If I could of gave it Zero stars I would of & leaving negative reviews is normally not my thing. This location though is Very cluttered, dirty, messy, congested and in a big need of updating. Not to mention whether it be the pharmacy staff or the regular employees, they just have horrible service. The employees overall, with maybe an exception of one or two, are rude and come across as you are bothering them. They rarely ever smile or greet you, they roll their eyes & have this annoyance in their voice and demeanor. It doesn’t matter how many cash registers are open in the front, they work at their own slow pace and the checkout process is unbearable. Might take you a minute to grab your items around the store but checkout will take over 10 minutes, even if you are the next person in line. The associates love ignoring you even if you are directly in front of them. They talk about their personal lives as if no one is around and I mean really really personal stuff. I don’t want to hear about your sex life or relationships and they constantly drop the F bomb. I was in there with my 6 year old one day and 3 female workers between he ages of 21 & 30 were 2 isles over supposedly stocking shelves and we could hear them clear as day goofing off, complaining about their jobs working there, swearing worse than a trucker and making fun of some customers in the store. My daughter even felt uncomfortable & was asking why they are saying those things so loudly. That is exactly how it ALWAYS is in the Ferry Street/Glendale Walgreens. It’s just a very trashy location all around. And the pharmacy forget about it! Even in the middle of the night there are huge lines. I have never waited less than 20 minutes and that’s just to drop something off. They are rude also & seem unqualified. I couldn’t tell you how many times I recieved misinformation or had the head pharmacist tell me to look online because he was not sure or not be able to even give me an answer. They even twice gave me the wrong persons prescriptions and one of those times they said they must of gave that other person mines!! Then they went on to tell me there was nothing they could do, I needed to go back to the doctor who wrote the script & get a new one. I got that script from the ER at MGH after spending almost 7 hours there. How the hell was I supposed to go back and get another 1 in the middle of the night so easily. They could of done their job right the first time or called the ER themselves like they supposed to. But doing their job is too hard for them. Also don’t even think about calling the pharmacy. You’ll never get through. It says your the next caller but after being on hold for 30+ minutes every single time, day or night, you give up. I’ve even went there after being on hold so long & kept the call on my phone and when I arrived it was a ghost town, no customers and the staff were just standing around goofing off with each other. Then they looked at me like I was bothering them. They even love to pick up the phone & without saying a word continue to put you on hold. I’ve even heard them say “let whoever is calling stay on hold, they’ll eventually hang up.”After going to this Walgreens for 2 years I just couldn’t take it anymore and now I exclusively go out of my way to the one in Malden on Centre Street. Everyone I know says the same thing about the Ferry St Walgreens. It’s horrible and should be shut down."
