"PharMerica sent me a bill for my mom's medications when she stayed at South Kingtown Nursing And Rehabilitation. One of the medications she was billed for was a cholesterol pill. I would like to know how a nurse could have given a cholesterol pill to my mom who was on hospice and receiving Morphine. This pill was supposedly given to my mom the day before she died. Was that cholesterol pill going to prolong my mom's life? Even if by some miracle a nurse did in fact give it to my mom the day before she died, it would serve no purpose at the end of her life. When I asked how a pill could have been administered to someone on Morphine, I received no answer from the PharMerica customer representative. Well maybe they should have looked at the bill and questioned South Kingstown Nursing and Rehabilitation facility about why my mom was charged for a cholesterol pill while she was dying. I'll tell you why, it's called Big Pharma GREED. They don't care about the patients getting fraudulently charged. If you're elderly and have no one to advocate for you, you are at the mercy of the company that's billing you!"
