"Just stopped by to purchase insulin syringes for my dog. When I asked the young man behind the counter for them, a woman from the pharmacist station yelled rudely at me that they refused to sell them without a prescription. The way she implied was as if I was a drug abuser. Even if I was, safe needle practice is important to the health of our communities. Very bizarre, and very unprofessional. Just moved my family to town, I guess this won’t be our pharmacy, bummer I usually love supporting small business."

"One star for the disservice McNabb Pharmacy rendered to me today. I felt discriminated against today by McNabb Pharmacy or otherwise 'SELECTED' to be singled out as someone not to deliver to anymore. I am a disabled senior. Although the establishment readily disclaimed any discrimination was intended, my experience with them made it feel that way to me. Here are the circumstances: Knowing that McNabb no longer delivered on the weekends, I called in my regular prescription on a Thursday for it to arrive on a Friday. During that time frame I also asked if they were in a network that Medicare was switching me to. The person who took my call didn't know anything about network changes (which was OK and not the issue). But, then I got a call back. Yet the call was not about my question about if the pharmacy was in the network I was being changed to (by Medicare). Instead the call back was to tell me, my request for a next day delivery was outside the 'SELECTED' times they deliver to Ayer. When I asked about these SELECTED times (so that I could change the TIMING of when I order prescriptions to be within the selected times), they withheld information as to when those selected times were other than that it 'depended on' when the OTHER clients in Ayer were getting their deliveries. SELECTED times when they deliver to Ayer, followed by not telling me what those time frames were so I could adapt to adjusting my orders resolved to their SELECTING NOT to deliver to me which is why it felt discriminatory. After all, if there are 'selected times', it would follow they would disclose them and not withhold them. It's just very upsetting to feel TARGETED this way much like any other member of any group could feel discriminated against if they were told something like 'We only have SELECTED groups of people we hire, rent to etc. If not discrimination, then disrespect for a LONG TERM customer. I mean I could have transferred my account to Ayer pharmacy years back but I elected to stay loyal to McNabb for the one medication I got from them. Their reasoning for this was gas expenses/travel time/distance to Ayer. OK, but if that was the reason, OTHERS in Ayer were still on their client/delivery list and at NO TIME did McNabb inform me prior of any changes to delivery schedules for clients living in Ayer. Although they said they would be transferring me to the pharmacy in Ayer, when I arrived at the Ayer pharmacy to pick up my medication, McNabb had not made the transfer. Ayer pharmacy was nice enough to call them and to prepare the prescription for me. To raise my stress levels even further, there was no TIMELY answer to the question about whether or not or McNabb would be transferring the CREDIT (pre-pay) I had established with them so that the credit I had with McNabb could be transferred to the Ayer pharmacy. I used to LIKE this pharmacy. The people who answered the phone were experienced and professional and the people who delivered were very nice. But as time went on, the people who answered the phone seemed 'new' or young or not trained to do much else other than to keep you hanging on the line and of recent, the prior affable delivery people were substituted by some 'gruff/tough' type guy. Other than that I'd say they have gone down hill and have become less professional as of prior years when they were excellent. In their behalf, I should say that this issue is probably more relative to people living in Ayer. So, HEADS UP to anyone from Ayer reading this who might abruptly be given the shaft as I was today."
"IVE USED THE MEDICAL 'SUPPLY' DEPT FOR APPROX 3 YEARS NOW...THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! EVERY MONTH WHEN I CALL TO REORDER THEY EITHER HAVE THEM AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY OR ORDER AND COME IN VERY QUICK... THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH HIGHLY RECOMENDED"
"I thought they were good but I don't feel that way now. My vet called in a script on Monday and my husband rushed down there yesterday morning to pick up the medicine for our beautiful papillon. Needless to say they didn't have it "because we want to discuss with owner the cost before we fill it". Our vet has our phone number and obviously they didn't ask for it. They expect the owner to call them to make sure they fill the script. Needless to say our beautiful pap passed away yesterday. I will never use this pharmacy again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else, not if the meds are to help keep your pet alive."
