"I used Dakota Tax for my 2021 tax returns. I only used them because I had an existing relationship with an accountant employed by Dakota. That accountant did a great job and charged me a reasonable price, which we agreed on before he executed the work for me. Approximately 6 months later, a different accountant contacted me claiming that I owe more money for the services I had already paid for 6 months prior. Turns out, the accountant I worked with had left Dakota and Dakota was seeking to collect additional money from his clients with no basis whatsoever. I'm now in a legal dispute with Dakota about this unfounded claim. Avoid this firm at all costs."
