We inquired about who owned it, and heard about a young entrepreneur using his sailing expertise to launch an incredible brand. We have been sailing with him from the beginning! As island residents, this is our “go to island experience” when guests arrive. Captain Kurt is a gracious host who lets you share in his world of catboat sailing and makes you feel like a part of the family. As his brand has grown immensely, he is humbled by those who followed him from the beginning. Catboat Charters will always be our favorite on Martha’s Vineyard!"

"We had a fantastic afternoon sail with Catboat Charters sailing in Edgartown Harbor and Katama Bay. It was really interesting to see the Chappaquiddick coastline and the magnificent waterfront estates. Captain Kurt and first mate, Max, were very easygoing and knowledgable. The Catboat is very stable and gentle to sail- even in windy conditions. Overall a wonderful experience! I would highly recommend this very special charter!"

"Summer 2017 - During a recent visit to Martha’s Vineyard, we had a relaxing afternoon sail with friends aboard the Catboat Charters beautifully restored wooden catboat, “Tigress”. Captain Kurt expertly manned the sails while his first mate, Lindsay, served us wine and refreshments. They were both professional and excellent hosts, answering our questions about the island and making sure we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon on the “Tigress”. The best part of the day, it’s hard to say…. the spectacular scenery, the calmness of sailing, and a sunny day were intoxicating. It was great to have the opportunity to view the Vineyard from such a beautiful, historic sailboat, too. Not to mention, the kind hospitality of Capt. Kurt and his first mate, Lindsay was unbeatable.
