"Their $50 14 day cancellation was confusing and not stated when you cancel via the confirmation email. When we called to get an explanation of the charge to our credit card, Adam… an employee could not have been more rude and unprofessional. The manager seemed more friendly, but ended up hanging up on us without a goodbye. Just book on your own…."

"The customer service at this company is bottom of the barrel. We have been forced to use there money-making service repeatedly for soccer tournaments. There is no doubt that they profit from the quid pro quo with the soccer tournaments whose poor follow through to post schedules to teams before the hotels 2 week cancellation policy but require teams to use their services. “Cancellation policy” which isn’t even a true cancellation. The company requires a 2 night stay and when you try to adjust your reservation to 1 night they say your only option is to cancel and be charged the $50 cancellation fee. This has happened to us 3 separate times at 3 different tournaments in different states. Positively ridiculous and a complete scam. Will never book another hotel reservation with them regardless of the tournament policy. A completely illegal monopoly!"

"Just addressing a few reviews because I feel it's important to provide context: 1) Bad hotels are NOT the fault of the travel agency. 2) Their cancellation policy and room block end dates are super clear and emailed numerous times, both to the individuals booking rooms and the room block creator. 3) Tournament fields are *rarely* finalized when room blocks are being created, and often not communicated from the tournament to the travel agency. The poor reviews I've read all fall under one of the above 3 with regards to Halpern. It's a shame. **My experience** with Halpern was FANTASTIC. Specifically, Badonna Lilly was amazing to work with. I have 2 teams of 30 soccer players, and we needed a hotel for a tournament that we booked semi-last-minute. There were no hotels that could accommodate that many rooms, but Badonna took the time to note when other room blocks would free up, told me not to worry about it, and then proactively grabbed those rooms and assembled me a full block for all my families when they freed up later in the week. Talk about above-and-beyond! Then she reached out personally to make sure all was perfect for us and our trip. The impact of her taking the time to get us all together is more than most know -- the memories my players will share being all together, the friendships that will form, the time she saved me as the coordinator as well as all my families during the weekend not having to travel between hotels,...etc. It really means a lot, and I appreciate Badonna and Halpern Travel very much. I highly recommend!!"

Aaron Millman was my contact and he pulled off a miracle and secured us a room the week before at a great rate. Highly recommend using them!!"
