"The 5 stars is strictly for our local office. After a frustrating experience last month and a VERY frustrating experience during the snow storm this weekend I was confronted with the phone message system from hell while trying to get reimbursed for services I needed to procure and pay for (despite being provided by an AAA tow shop). After over an hour on the phone and 4 customer service reps I finally called the Keene office directly. They were very helpful and understanding. I will save my bad rating for AAA national, because they truly need some work (and need to reevaluate their "Peace of Mind" motto) but the local staff has been top notch."
"Years ago I gave AAA one-star. I've been there several times since then, and all has been good, so I'm changing this from the one-star (due to an unresolved issue) to a 5-star."
"I placed my initial call at 01:27, which I immediately received a text telling me someone had been dispatched for me, and it would be no later than 02:45. At 02:14 I received a call and was told it would be "awhile". At 03:14 I missed a call to ask if I still needed help(of course I did, my car is broke down?!), which I called back to confirm, and was sent directly to a random tow services voicemail..At 03:17 I was again told they were working on it, and that it seemed it was harder to find someone at this hour. AGAIN I was sent a text saying someone was dispatched to me. When the land owner called to find out what was going on, he got told that my membership wasn't valid in the state I was calling from, are you serious?! When I called them back at 03:26 I got told no help was available till AFTER 06:00, I have now missed a days work. I have been a customer since 2008, and will not be continuing my membership. You claim to be a 24/7 service.. but have business hours?! You also leave me strung along well people drive by that could have possibility helped me, but I let them pass with the knowledge that AAA was on its way! Thank you so much for your help!!"
"After being a premier member for 6 plus years I will be severing this business connection permanently. I recently had a breakdown and was treated so shabbily by AAA. I was forced to get a car rental and Hertz is covered in my plan but there was no hertz so I had to go through Enterprise I was told I would be reimbursed it cost me $185 AAA sent me a check for $50 with no explanation whatsoever.$135 short !!!. Not to mention I wasn't reimbursed for the taxi ride I had to take from the breakdown site to Enterprise all because of their silly policies. Absolutely not worth the money they literally left me stranded on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere."
"Do not exchange American dollars for foreign currency at Triple A! I recently exchanged 800 American dollars and received in return 34800 Dominican pesos. If I would have simply waited to get the to the Dominican and exchanged the money there I would have received a minimum of 40000 Dominican pesos. That is a whopping 13% premium or $105 that I lost using the service. When I called Triple A initially, they told me that there would be no fees to exchange for foreign currency as long as the transaction amount was over $300. However, if you read the fine print on the contract you realize that the company Triple A uses to exchange foreign currency sets their own arbitrary exchange rate. It is not the going exchange rate. Unfortunately, I did not realize my mistake until the paperwork had already been signed. Even though Triple A does not set the rate themselves I still feel that it is very misleading to tell people that there are no fees. My bad, I was duped. Hopefully others will read this review in the same won't happen to them. Do your homework before exchanging currency at Triple A."
