"I both love and hate this place. They are probably one of the best full service lumber yards around and their products are great quality. Prices are mixed. Default costs are very high, but they can be competitive if you ask for a bid package. Service is so so. Generally everyone seems nice enough and tries to be helpful, but I have had issues with special orders several times, probably 25% of my experiences here."

I've gone here for several home improvement projects and was always shocked at how good the customer service was. They've taken the time to talk with me about the best materials to buy and educated me on the proper way to complete my projects. Each time, I've gotten better materials than I would have found at a big box store, at a really good price. I was just recently in there several times while rebuilding my deck and Brendan spent time each time I came in, addressing any questions I had and making sure I had the right materials. I can't recommend Gilbert & Cole enough. I've never had anything less than an excellent experience here."
