"DO NOT GET A FRONT DOOR (or anything) INSTALLED THROUGH LOWES. It has been a horrible experience. Initially things seemed great (of course, while selling the product/install communication was smooth and timely, etc) Then the day of installation came and they use some third party installer who seemed unfamiliar with the product in some ways. Parts of the door frame came with nail holes all over it inside and outside- I had to push them to at least caulk the holes and they said "it came from the manufacturer like this so we install what we have, not sure why it has nail holes in it". The disconnect between Lowe's and the actual installer became a huge pain to deal with. The installed damaged an existing portion of molding near the door and were going to just leave it- then covered it in random white paint which looked terrible but didn't actually fix it. The molding above the door wasn't quite the right size on the inside so there is a strip of raw wall above the door that is an eyesore. Even the parts of the frame/molding without holes in it are not painted (just primed it seems) and this was not mentioned as an additional charge or service that would need completing. This project was nearly $8k and to have an unfinished door install with additional damage and nail holes everywhere caulked poorly was HUGELY disappointing. Now I have had the headache of going back and forth with the sales person and the installer to try and rectify all this. Lowe's is asking for an additional $250 to paint the areas that look terrible even though they never mentioned this would be necessary to begin with. The installer has offered to come fix the molding and paint above the door which also needs sanding and whatnot so who knows how that will turn out. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE and don't make the mistake we did by going through Lowes. They may be OK for purchasing materials but I will NEVER have anything installed through them again."
"I'm giving a 5 star because they have the kind of smoke alarm I'm looking for. Home Depot doesn't carry it."
"Bought a few rods and metal supports for a project. a couple of months later to as I try to return one rod and two supports, the person refused to take my return because I didn't have a receipt. I pointed out their return policy printed in large letters on a poster just behind him, which stated they accept items without receipt (store credit etc). He became fairly agitated that each store has its own policy etc. Made me lug the 6ft rod back home. Good-bye Lowe's you just lost a longtime customer. There are plenty other places to spend my home improvement money at."
"This location does not carry propane even though the online site shows items in stock. Employees were helpful though."
"I was favorably impressed. The shelves were orderly and the assistance provided by Stephen in Lighting and Andrew in Lumber was excellent! Each one patiently let me ask all my questions and even helped me select the best products for what I was looking for. They had a great display for the Trex decking. Keep it up!"
