"I’ve been involved in a few home remodeling projects over the years. That gives me some perspective. And based on my experience I would strongly recommend VHI. I have three main reasons for liking VHI. First, the carpenters and trades people involved in our project were, without exception, first rate in their craftsmanship and their desire to execute our design goals. It’s not easy to make changes to an older home. In that regard, the lead carpenter on our project was an amazingly skillful and resourceful craftsman. Second, this was my first experience with the computer aided design used by VHI. I found the program (and the CAD team) particularly helpful in formulating and communicating design objectives for our project. I would not do another major project without it. Third and finally, VHI is outstanding in their meticulous attention to clean, dust free working conditions. If I had to fault any aspect of our experience it would be in communication. Once our project was underway we were unsure who the contact was for questions or changes. In addition, if our contract clearly spelled out the aspects of the project that were totally within our responsibility that may have prevented a needless delay in our project."
