Reviews of Paws For Applause
"I brought my 3 1/2 yr old fur baby, and this was her 1st time having a bath, there and they were exceptional with her. And very reasonable. I would go back in a heartbeat. Paula was very pleasant when I spoke with her and told me the price up front. What I like the most is they do not medicate them."
"Can’t say enough about this place!!My yorkie Mike is a handful and hates getting groomed. He would bite Maria each visit because she was too caring to muzzle him.Im always a wreck and ALL staff have always been so kind and patient! They know a lot and are so talented!Mike always looks fantastic when he leaves! You get what you pay for for sure!!!I highly recommend booking with Paula or Maria especially if you have a difficult dog."
"Great cat groomer for my families mainecoon devrex mix. This groomer is under new management and are finding their footing one pet at time. Paula was prompt and responsive, even responding on a weekend. She reached out quickly after I left a message and was able to take Nash in the following day. When I picked Nash up he was happy, clean, and most importantly mat free. She even made a little bow as a gift for my 2yo daughter. All and all a great experience with this small business for my pet and family. I will be bringing Nash back for regular groomings. Thanks Paula for providing excellent service."
"My experience for my dogs and I was traumatic and horrifying. I have a 11 year old yorkie with extreme anxiety, and he cannot be put into a crate. If so, his high anxiety and stress could lead to him having a seizure. This information was passed onto to Paula, the owner. When picking him up, my dog was in the back room with no lights on and in a crates. He was locked in a crate for an extended amount of time, and when I saw him he was covered in foam and soaked all over his face, feet, back, and bottom. When I picked up my dog he was shaking, heavily breathing, and drool dripping out of his mouth. As she opened the door to go back into the room of the desk, a dog snuck passed her, trying to leave the back room. Her first reaction was to slam the door on the dog and kicked it into the room. I wish I was exaggerating when saying all this, but more and more kept happening. When asking if he was in a crate, Paula raised her voice at me and said nothing was wrong with him. After telling her to look at him and questioned what was done to him, she continued to raise her voice and yell. Her reaction was was due to the disappointment and sadness in my face. Also, after asking why she didn’t realize his reaction to the crate was not enough to tell that he should not be in one, she rudely interrupted me again and told me he looked fine. I am no groomer myself, and I appreciate those who take the time to do such a job, but his state was of well being terrified me. Her professionalism was non- existent, and her attitude was extremely poor. After I paid FULL PRICE, and was walking out, I found a thumbtack on the floor when leaving. Overall, I will never be stepping foot into that place. Never have I ever experience something as disappointing as that. My advice, do not let your dogs go here, as they will poorly be cared for and be mistreated."
"The name of this business is ironic. I would never “paws” or pause to applause this grooming center. They deformed my sweet little dog, giving her a permanent scar. Then they have the nerve to charge us extra for inconveniences. The people were rude and overpriced. My dog left scared physically and emotionally. Don’t go here to save time and money."
