Reviews of Educational Farm At Joppa Hill
"My son loves the animals here! Great small farm that is never too crowded and has a nice variety of animals to interact with and learn about. Their fall festival was also great."
"A fantastic little farm with lots of animals, a farm stand, hiking trails and more. See photos of the variety of animals here. The hiking trails go from here all the way to Pulpit rock about 7 miles round trip. You can hike more if you want as that was our almost direct walk with a couple side trails. But there are even more side trails. There is one smaller loop around the farm if you want to do the farm only. And if you wish to avoid the farm there are other entrances to pulpit rock. See that google review for more on the hiking trails."
"Lovely farm supported by volunteers and their one full time staff, Farmer Chris! Our daughter loved the animals and the little trail you can walk, into the woods and pet sheep, goats and others along the way!"
"The farm is big! We visited during an open house on Sunday. We saw the usual farm animals and my son got to ride a horse. They have trails. The main trail goes in two directions. The left fork, of the trail, is difficult with a lot of stones and lose rock. Not for little kids or strollers. Non handicap accessible. The right fork we did not travel on. Joppa Hill is a very scenic farm with some of the staff being very friendly, others, a little stand-offish. The ones who were friendly were engaging and helpful. I wished I had more time to explore. Update, September 24, 2018; I visited again with my daughter and we had a good time. Hayride, pony ride, Ben and Jerry's ice-cream and explored more. We took a right turn on the trails and encountered an electric fence on our walk. The trail continued into a forest. Staff are still helpful and friendly. On the hayride we saw wild turkeys and monarch butterflies."
