"Finally went here for a tour! Well actually two tours! The servant tour was absolutely amazing! It talked about the maid, chef, workers life here in the estate and generally around the period, and we saw where they work and live. The cod man estate has very detailed documents about the servants and it’s very impressive. The main house tour talked more about the family history and the rooms are really nice. The ground is pretty enjoyable to walk around as well and the Italian garden is really cute! Our tour guides are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and we really enjoyed our visit."
"This is a wonderful house with a better personal story. Often we look at an old house and think wow, this has been here for hundreds of years this indeed has that history and a lot more to offer. The layout and how it evolved over time is interesting. The Codman family and the personal collections of arts and treasures of one of New England's original families is a real treasure. Portraits by Copley, and Dutch masters put a very nice touch on this house. The grounds are beautiful and the Historic NE guides are the best and very accomplished. Walk though and ask questions! Overall, a great visit with wonderful artifacts and gardens assembled across generations! We combined this with Lunch at the Liberty Inn in Concord for a memorable day."
"There is so much I love about this place for a wedding. Its intimate but it's also a huge area to walk around and explore. The Italian Gardens are amazing and the carriage house is the perfect place for dancing and cocktails! The field is wonderful for lawn games, and the tented wedding option makes it a Covid Friendly location!"
"Excellent old estate with gardens and open fields. Nice place to park and explore the grounds and sounding area. Good jumping off point for a bike ride as well. Lots of farm animals as well. Abutting conservation land also."
