"I love Benson Park! I take my dog there all the time & for people seeking clarity on Google: there IS a fenced in dog park as a part of the larger Benson Park. It's right next to the parking lot. There are also lots of walking trails in the woods that are well-maintained, some paved trails in the open from where it used to be a zoo, and a playground for kiddos. Highly recommend!"
"Good place for the whole family. Great playground. There are several trails to hike through the woods. There are signs to show what color and what trail you want to hike. Just follow the color marking on the trees to know what path you are on. This us a great was to kill a day of you or your kids are bord."
"Very accessible park and hiking trail. The area has historical value. It was once a well known zoo that became abandoned. Through a city project effort, it was restored as a public park. The park is fairly big. You could spend a good hour or two here. The trails are not a challenge and perfect for a family with young ones. There is a good sized playground and open fields. There are some views. And the main attraction are the few elements from the abandoned zoo. I used the history of the zoo to tease my kids the place was haunted with zoo animals. The random cages, A-roof picnic area, and the Old Lady's Shoe house add to the lore. The waterfall used to be the old crocidile area. Overall, there is a decent amount to do and it's all free. There is also plenty of parking. There is also handicap accessibility, including in the children's playground. If you're looking for some easy community service, you can sign up to help keep the park clean. Go check it out!"
"Nice big outdoor area for the kids or just roaming around. There's places for your functions, (I imagine it's first come first served, but I don't know for certain) a nice little duck pond, a dog park, and a bunch of trails."
"Benson Park in Hudson is an absolute gem! I recently visited this park and was blown away by its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. The park is meticulously maintained, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The lush greenery, scenic trails, and picturesque ponds create a perfect setting for a peaceful stroll or a family picnic. The well-marked paths make it easy to explore the park and enjoy the stunning views at every turn. I particularly loved the variety of wildlife I encountered during my visit, from graceful swans gliding on the water to vibrant birds singing in the trees. The amenities at Benson Park are excellent, with clean restrooms and ample parking available. The park also features a well-equipped playground that kids will adore. Whether you're seeking a quiet escape into nature or a fun outing with your family, Benson Park is an ideal destination. It's a true oasis of serenity, and I highly recommend a visit to experience its beauty firsthand. Lots of dogs there."
