Reviews
"Update Summer 2023 - still a great place to spend several hours and don't forget to walk to the end of the boardwalk to see the bay and the Osprey nests! This is a multifaceted nature center where you can spend an entire day, or just take time for a beautiful walk down to the bay. The Nature center itself has great exhibits that explain the natural ecology of this area near the bay. There is even an aquarium! An of course, if you like the birds -- this is the place to be! A great advantage they have here is that this center is connected with people from the Roger Williams university nearby, which helps keep exhibits fresh and relevant."
"Autism Friendly and Awesome! As the mother of an autistic teenage girl, I struggle to find places that are welcoming, understanding and tolerant of people on the spectrum. This place is a piece of heaven with the plant, and animal diversity, and plenty of trails to walk peacefully. Part of it intersects the bike path that leads to Colt State park. It's very clean and because no dogs are allowed, you can walk and explore without having to be hyperaware of doggie stones."
"We saw Osprings mating in the air, walked the board walk, got to see whale bones and fish! Donated a really cool beaver skull for observation.. had a blast everyone was so welcoming!!"
"Super cool place to go and even bring kids. They share facts on a broad spectrum of local wildlife. As well as interactive and genuinely awesome wildlife models. They have live fish, indoor-outdoor plants / garden, paths to walk to the bikepath, gift shop, a beautiful raven outside, and your admission money goes to support the establishment!"
"Small but clean nice exhibits not being busy makes good for slower readers to try and read and learn about the things for themselves and a helpful staff well kept walking trails as well we will be back"
