"Best place around for off leash dog walks!"
"The sand area is amazing my dad takes me with rc cars and we have a blast"
"Since the clearing of most of the forest, walking the trails is not quite so enjoyable. Not only is is extremely unsightly, but there is no protection from wind and or sun as the forest used to provide. You either get blasted by wind or fried by sun. It is no longer feasible to run the trails during the day in the summer because there is no shade, and as I said, windy winter days are bitter. Many of the trails are gone and it is easy to get completely lost. It is a shame. Not to mention that people dump dead animals. This fall, someone dumped 5 deer carcasses (they had not taken meat or anything. Just killed them and dumped them) Last spring there was a pile of about 8 coyotes, also just dumped."
"Nice place for biking, a lot of trees were cut out which makes the area look unique."
"This location is actually Montague Plains WMA. The largest remaining inland glacial sandplain in Massachusetts, Montague Plains Wildlife Management Area offers great opportunities for hiking, birding, hunting, and nature study. Don't forget to pick wild blueberries and huckleberries when they are ripe! Wildlife you may see here: deer, bear, fox, grouse, woodcock, prairie warbler, whip-poor-will, buck moth, and many, many more! Also Nantucket shadbush, wild lupine, and other rare plants."
