"Perched atop the Hotel Salem, 'The Roof' is not just a restaurant, it's an experience. Our recent visit during Salem's bustling October Halloween festivities further cemented its place as a must-stop locale. As the elevator doors open, you're greeted with panoramic skyline views of Salem that simply take your breath away. Our lunchtime visit was met with a palpable energy. Even with the festive hustle and bustle, the staff were attentive, making sure every guest felt valued. While the menu was concise, it didn't skimp on flavor. We particularly enjoyed their diverse taco offerings and bowls - every bite seemed to tell a story. The accompanying wine and beer list, though not exhaustive, was thoughtfully curated to suit various palates. Past visits during the evening have offered us the sheer joy of witnessing some of the most mesmerizing sunsets from the rooftop bar. While it's a fun family lunch spot, it also holds memories of romantic evenings spent under the Salem sky. In essence, whether you're there for the views, the vibes, or the victuals, 'The Roof' is sure to impress. Highly recommended for both first-timers and seasoned Salem visitors."

"Definitely not what I was expecting. View was ok, the set up was nice. Would enjoy more if temp is 70 or below, but at 80• & full sun it was MISERABLE. There were maybe 6 chairs in the whole place that was in shade..for the price of food & drinks you would think they could afford sun shades. Not worth going back because the manager was a little rude to us & the table across from us."

"I just had Thee Best experience at Salem Hotel Rooftop. Your Server Tyler is so patient, kind, funny, and outright exceptional young man. Being there to celebrate a very special birthday, Tyler went above and beyond to make this day the one to remember. We had a large group and enjoyed ourselves so much, our table was covered with delicious food. We laughed and enjoyed watching the Sunset over a beautiful city. At night the music continues and the atmosphere was so vibrant and healing. Thank you, we all look forward to returning. Thank you Tyler!"

"As I mention in another review for a pizza place in Salem, we visit often but most of the time in October when it's so busy, you don't get to enjoy the best Salem has to offer. Well our friends went on a tour and we had a couple of hours to kill, so we decided to check this place out. There was no wait to get a drink at the roof and although it was a bit chilly, it was a nice first day of fall so we walked right up. We only had a couple of drinks and some nachos for an appetizer, but everything was great, even a blueberry root beer I tried that was one of the best sodas I've tried that wasn't a cola. But the next party is the view of Salem from there. The prices for our drinks was decent and I would go there again, even if it were just for the atmosphere (and to try a crab dip I saw after we ordered the nachos :p)."

"The Roof at our hotel, The Hotel Salem, was strategically positioned, providing the perfect setting to cap off our nights during our vacation. On our first day in Salem, we made it a point to visit this spot, and it didn't take long to discern that while some dishes, like the ceviche, fell short of our expectations, others, such as the pork quesadilla, were truly delightful. This venue is an excellent choice for beverages, whether it's daytime or nighttime. We highly recommend giving it a try at least once, especially if you're staying in Salem or at The Hotel Salem."
