Reviews of AR Nail Bar & Lounge
"I usually get pretty great service here. Came today and asked for my nails to be cut shorter (I had very long beautiful almond nails but needed them shorter) The technician cut my nails without showing me first. When I looked at the first hand I expressed my extreme disappointment, with tears in my eyes, she said “you said to cut shorter”, then offered to put tips on all my nails to fix it. Salon owner made me pay, offering me a 15% off discount, and said she needs to review the camera to see if the technician showed me my nails to approve the cut and shape before following through (which she did not consent with me first). The nail technician left me sitting there with no receipt and I was responsible for discussing this service at checkout. I’ve never been challenged like this, they said I agreed to cutting my nails off so my fingers look like mini hotdogs. I an anxious to see if the owner actually calls me to reverse the charge. Posting before and after photos, this is my nails right before coming in vs how I left."
"I got a set of acrylics done for $120 and within five days one broke. Within two weeks, three more broke. Luxury prices for some of the worst quality work I’ve received. My cuticles weren’t trimmed down. Not much nail prep. They just slapped oil on my cuticles post service and called it a day. I called to get some resolution and I’d have to pay to get them fixed. Keep in mind they broke doing the most mundane tasks… cleaning the cat’s litter box and doing laundry."
"I have been going to AR Nails for a few years now, and I do have to say the pedicures are 5/5 and they always do an amazing and thoughtful job. The manicures however are a much different story. I am all for efficiency but today it was taken to a new level for me. I went in for a dip manicure that I booked with Lynn, however I saw Sam. I had dip on my nails that was almost 3 weeks old. Sam wrapped my nails in nail polish remover and foil and when he finished my second hand he immediately unwrapped the first hand and started filing off the old dip, even though it had soaked for only about 1 minute. He filed so hard with the electric nail file that he burned my nail bed…he BADLY burned my nail bed. I welped in the middle of the nail salon. He apologized and then proceeded to blame me for the burn saying my hand wasn’t at the right angle and that I was moving. Truthfully at this point I should have gotten up and left, but in true female fashion did not want to create a scene. When he asked me what shape I would like, I said round please and he told me no you need a more almond shape and proceeded to give me almond nails. I of course paid for my manicure and left. My nail bed is in pretty bad pain from the burn. I absolutely will never set foot in this nail salon ever again."
"Probably the best place in the neighborhood to do your nails. Spa pedicure is definitely the best! They rub, scrub, polish and the massage chair is wonderful. With manicure it depends on who you’ll get. I had a very decent ones and not so great ones too. But overall I like this place. They also gave away some Christmas presents yesterday, was very a sweet touch! And the festive decorations looked amazing ❄️"
"Duy did exactly what I asked for and my nails came out perfect. I’ve been going here for years and always love the results. Everyone is kind and patient"
