"I had Gulu-Gulu Cafe on my things to do when I arrived to Salem. I was so excited to try it. When I arrived I was greeted by several employees and took at seat. They have a regular and a gluten free menu with lots of vegan option. If you are in a hurry or really hungry, this is not the place for you. I received my coffee right away but it took about 30 minutes for someone to take my order and another 20 min to get my order. The sandwich was really good and the service was very friendly. Definitely try if you have time to sit, relax, and enjoy the surroundings."
"Went in for a later dinner and the food was excellent! Bartender was super friendly, there was someone playing piano, over all a cool vibe. We really enjoyed stopping here!"
"Easy, no-frills cafe in the heart of Salem. Pleased to see the gluten free wrap option. Would have liked to get a latte but the server had a weird story there and no coffee was available. Overall, this place will fit the bill for a simple lunch."
"Unique spot that doesn’t feel very touristy even though it’s in the heart of all the hustle and bustle. Food menu is accommodating to multiple dietary needs like vegan and vegetarian. The drink menu is surprisingly large. Had a great espresso martini, aperol spritz, different sandwiches and great coffee. Went back almost everyday I was in Salem."
"There was a long wait (and understandably so because I went during peak season in October) However the staff was very friendly and the food came out relatively quickly. The food was nothing extravagant and regular cafe food but hit the spot nonetheless. They had so many beverage options ranging from coffee to beer which I liked as well."
