"Spicy and numb enough and we both loved it! This is a hole-in-the-wall type of restaurant serving very authentic dishes!"
"Loved all the food we ordered - Mapo Tofu - this had a numbing effect on tongue just enough to keep me going for another bite. Also got Dandan noodles, Spicy wontons in chili sauce both were great. Would love to dine in one day."
"Probably not an exaggeration to say this was best and most authentic Szechuan I’ve tried outside China (chefs are all in fact from Szechuan). The 冒菜 was perfectly spicy and ingredients tasted fresh - not at all heavy despite the copious amounts of chili oil. Also got the spicy chili oil wontons (delicious) and a soft tofu/ground meat dish (so tender and flavorful). Note that this is a tiny no-frills hole-in-the-wall spot… but as long as you’re looking good food and not for a fancy ambiance, this place is amazing!"
"Most authentic Mao Cai I ever had in the US. You can smell the unique delicious spice of Sichuan Mao Cai once you enter the store. Definitely recommended!!! Must try!!! Dishes are nice too!"
"Ordered delivery from here and the Sichuan flavors were spot-on so I decided to go dine in. They're no frills, small hole-in-the-wall restaurant but my goodness the flavor is authentic. For takeout I ordered the spicy cabbage, spicy cold noodles, and bamboo shoot stirfry. For dining in (picture here) the dan dan noodles, a Sichuan cold beef appetizer (夫妻肺片), and cauliflower drypot. Everything came in sizeable, sharing portions. Super tasty! The mala flavor is a good balance, nothing was too oily or too salty like sometimes can happen with Sichuan restaurants. Staff was very welcoming too. I'd definitely eat here again! I want to try everything on the menu, it all looks so good. Fyi they also have an American Chinese food menu for folks who aren't used to Sichuan, though it's definitely worthwhile to order the Sichuan dishes. Outside of Allston/Brighton, this is the best. Beats all the overpriced places in Cambridge for sure."
